if they approach these games with confidence and good bit of self belief, they stand a great chance of getting out to the KO stage..! wish there was at least one Big name club in the mix though..! who's Dorya ??

It is Sorja Luhansk (Ukrainian Team) and not Dorya.
Here is a very interesting new interview (in Swedish) with Saman. He is basically saying that he has received his passport and he has a few days to choose whether he is going to play for Iran or not.
In other words, he has an offer to be invited for the upcoming WCQ games and if we do not see him on the list, it probably means he has declined the invitation at this stage. Let us see what happens.

all indications are that he will take it. I think the two most obvious indications were when he talked about behrang safari's advice to him to choose iran. If he didnt care about that advice, or didnt want to play for iran, he wouldnt have brought it up, and secondly the constant mentioning of how iranian blood is running through him, and he will make his family proud by choosing TM. ITs going to be hard to backtrack and choose sweden after that.

Yes, but he also seems to be quite disappointed for not having been contacted by the Swedish coach, and Swedish media is currently promoting him a lot, which is a bit worrying. But let us hope you are right.

He also said that he thinks he is good enough to play in the Swedish national team. Maybe not as a starter, but he also says he wouldn't necessarily be a starter for Iran either.
I wonder whether he is serious regarding the comments about Sweden not contacting him, meaning that is why he prefers Iran, or he just uses it as a reason to not upset the Swedish people.

Thank you for the update. Really hope that he picks Team Melli. We will always support him. The Swedish coach has already picked his 23 man squad for upcoming qualifiers. The fact that the coach picked him for friendlies in January, only as part of an expanded list and he has yet to reconnect with him shows that he is maybe not a huge fan of Saman. Also, Sweden has been winning with the same aquad in a tough WCQ geoup - why would the coach change it now? Just hope Carlos knows that Saman is a real gem and invites him.
Again, don't think he'll make the WCQ squad going by CQ's last interview and according to some comments, to me it doesn't look as certain as some say that he joins TM.
He might be delaying a supposed TM invitation until he sees if he can get into the next Sweden squad, then if not, he would accept Iran's invitation during WC camps/preparation, that is also a possibility.
Anyways we should be prepared for anything of course, nothing is certain yet

CQ will not come out and sing Saman's praises if Saman hasn't decided. Will make Iran look bad.
Sweden could very well qualify to the WC. In fact, they probably will ... He has more ties in Sweden than Iran. Why come to Iran and be a potential superstar to a point that your whole life will be under a magnifying glass of the IR and you can't even put a picture of yourself having a glass of wine with your mates? or taking, shaking hands, hugging a hot Swedish chick/fan etc. You will become veryyyyyyy restricted. If you ask me, if i was him and i had both options, I would take Sweden no question about it
