If this wasn't in Osaka I'd definitely try to go watch but since I live in Tokyo it's a little far to go on short notice. Hope the kids do well though!

Sepahan, Persepolis or SS should have sent their U-17 not Foolad. Foolad situation is not good now. They had good youth academy some years ago when they had financial back ups and competent management.

Hyundai is a wealthy Korean team.

                  !!!

This Foulad U16 won all their games in two years never lost a single game, won a Championship twice. They deserved more than any other team in Iran by Far.

They did not have few of their good players since they are with TM U16 in India. 10/23 players of U16 are from Khuzestan, 7 of them from Foulad.

This team defeated Good Japanese clubs losing only to mighty Ulsan and SA Sundown winner of China Tournament.
                  They did well.

There is no other Iranian club with such record. They deserved to be there.

                  Foulad U16 Record In Iran
                  3 back to back Championship
                  48 games without a defeat.

For sure this team can not be the same team winning championship three years in a row unless they are faking their age.

Foolad youth academy was good when Foolad management cared about investing in "football e paye" but financial problems stopped their progress. Look at their stadium which supposed to be our first privately owned stadium ever after revolution.

I know khuzestan is one of our football poles but situation is not so good and what was the point of sending a team which is missing 7 out of its best players? We could send another team that was more complete and could have a decent experience.

Take Persepolis for instance. They came very close to be the champions last season. Take Beiranvand, Seyd Jalal, Rezaian, Taremi, Mosalman, Amiri, and Alipour out of the team and see them decline as a toothless lion. That is my point.

                      You are very wrong.

Japan invited for Challenge cup teams from Iran, SA and Koreans. As they said to have strong teams with different styles to blends with their 5 clubs each champions of reguons.

Foulad was best candidate. Selection is base on last year championship since this year u16 just started and no way to now which team is best.
Foulad U16 ( although some get old and move up) has been Champion for past 3 years and that is best criteria for selection.

In case you are not aware there are two youth league in Iran, Tehran Province and Rest of Iran. best 4 of both series go to playoff for Championship.
Perspolis and Estaghlal never made it to final 4 for past 3 years. On what basis you suggest Perspolis instead of Foulad?

Moghavemat for past 3 years was champion of Tehran group and each time lost to Foulad .
Several players from Moghavemat are with U16 including taha Shariati.

                      Same rules apply to ACL.
Zobahan and Esteghlal khuzestan are champions of last year but will represent Iran in ACL this year. This Esteghlal khuzestan is not quiet the same as last year but they were selected base on their last year performance when they had few different players.

Since big clubs such as SS Tehran, Persepolis and Sepahan has more experienced football related people runing their youth level teams I suggested that.

If IFF was supposed to choose a team for this tournament, they had to let the second best team of last season go to Japan, considering this foolad team was missing 7 key players. It was not like ACL and no matter what the team which won the title should represent the country even if it is on verge of bankruptcy like Naft Tehran situation.

                          Wrong again.

There is nothing professional about management of Esteghlal & Perspolis. Only good experience they have is wasting resources.
If what you said about" ..has more experienced football related people ..." was true then explain how come these Experienced expert unable to win championshiop last year and lost that chance to Esteghlal Khuzestan with fraction of resources in comparison.

Football management of Sorkhabi are corrupt and no expert. They secure funds often by mischives from public funds and buy products of other clubs hoping for championship.

Persepolis started with a team that was all time low on spirit last season because of constant changes on management team hit rock bottom but they came back strong with Branko and almost got the title. That is how awesome Persepolis is if the vultures leave our team alone.
Another obvious reason for teams like Persepolis to have hard time is the pressure and hashieh which teams from provinces won't experience. (This is only related to the senior level not youth)

There is no doubt there are vultures on top echelon of SS and Persepolis but their youth team managers are our former best players, and not some random dude from Mahalat. The CEO and some people on top are corrupt. You can find all of these former IRGC or military related people in our sport clubs these days. They came to the picture since MR. Ahmadi N. brought them to power and they won't leave us alone so easy. (In that case Foolad or Persepolis won't make a difference)
