1) Qatar is already back with 2 losses
2) Korea is the team with the bigger potential- I mean the quality of the team- to advance and to be a challanging rival to us.

2 losses against 2 of the strongest Asian sides, yet 8 more games to go, and you're considering them out my friend? Have we not learned from our past mistakes? Never underestimate any opponent.

It's much better for us if Qatar's dreams are wide open for them until the last day. The last team they wanna see qualify to WC from this group is Iran. Remember 3 years ago in Uzbekistan? How Qatar lost to Uzbekistan 5-1:

They didn't look so classy when they came to Azadi. If you watch back the highlights of that game, they started every fight, initiated dirty tackles and got under the skin of our players. I dislike Uzbekistan very much after the last WCQ's, they think they are relevant but then they lose to Bahrain and Jordan in the play-offs.

I'm so excited for this match, holy cow. I hope we score an early one and take charge of the game.

There are so many players in form/suitable (in theory) vs the Uzbeks that its hard to choose who should play.

I think Ansarifard would be such a good support striker with Azmoun or Gucci, but then that would mean one of Azmoun or Gucci would have to start on the bench. Taremi is also physically perfect for a match like this. He has experience causing trouble for Uzbeks in the last ACL. Strong and nimble, he might be able to help a lot for this match.

Be prepared for many more. For me I've gone through at least 6 of these cycles that I can clearly remember. It doesn't get any better!

I don't care about standings but Korea is the only team I have respect for and hope joins Iran as 2nd or 1st in the group. (This is mainly due to how Uzbekistan and Qatar worked together in last WCQ and have a really chance of doing it again knowing their corrupt state in this FOOTBALL matter) Korea and Iran need to win as many points as possible so they can't pull that crap again. Not sure about Syria, hopefully they'll keep their heads up and do their best and steer clear of cheating!

Let's go Iran and S. Korea!!! But obviously only Iran when it's between the 2 sides.

Tie Korea at home. Beat Syria home and away.
Beat China at home.
17 points. Enough for a playoff spot. Possibly even for automatic. Any extra points off Qatar/ Korea/Uzbekistan would seal automatic qualifying no matter how well anyone else does.

It is, the winner of the Asian play-offs has to play a 2 legged game against a CONCACAF team who are usually quite decent vs. AFC. I have a hard time seeing any Asian team getting a good result on North/South American soil.
