World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan - Iran; Info, Updates and Live Reports (06.10.2016)
This is bold, but I believe JB should come off the bench around 55-60th min and let Torabi start. Regardless who we put out there, there is a great chance this match will be 0-0 going into the 2nd half and having high caliber players like JB or Gucci coming on fresh and going up tired Uzbek defensive players, it's a recipe for success. Every time Gucci comes in as a sub, he tends to do very well

Taremi should start in the right Torabi in the left. I would start gucci. News sound like JB and Azmoun are not in their best shape. If we take care of Uz's cross which are very dangerous
then the only way they can win is that B.W. do some majic. Frankly I believe he is there to take care of UZ. Otherwise he would have refused this game since he knows we don't want to see
his face.
Uzbekistan will lose both legs. Such an overrated team this time around. Lucky to beat Qatar. Saw the game. Qatar was in full control.

I don't agree about Qatar. Since they have bought players from other places in the world they are not wellanalysed and seem dificult to win. In the next leg they will do nothing
except grassrulling. Qater is overrated. Uzbakestan has some players who can send some good cross and they are good at using them. I doubt they can do it against Iran but
they did it against Qatar and Syria and scored.
CQ needs to analyze the hell out of Uzbekistans weak points. I'm in favor of our corners having our players crowd the 6 yard box with Lobanov to make them make a mistake. On freekicks use some quick restarts to pull players out of position.
If Uzbekistan scores on us it will be a long range shot or a set piece. Have to practice defending those.
I think Torabi should start on the left. If Uzbekistans field is any better than China's he will get by the RB a few times and create dangerous chances.

Also, Lobanov is below average at saving long range shots. Even if it's directly shot at him with power, he does not control it well and usually fumbles it. Well placed shots and/or rebounds will be key. I think Iran might score quite a few if they can get their passing game going to get in shooting positions.
I would avoid getting physical and losing aerial balls. Sure, we'll win most of them but physically they're not far away from Iran. So chances of scoring headers against them is possible but 50-50.
Passing game could be key to a comprehensive victory before big game vs. Korea!

completely agree, the passing game is going to be the best and most effective way to break down both SK and UZB....our crosses and set pieces have looked dreadful so far and I really hope that changes but with the quick and smart players we have I dont see why we should have a problem breaking these teams down. We displayed a very solid passing game vs SK in tehran both in 2012 (WCQ) and in 2014 (prior to AC). those were two solid performances that I would hope to see a repeat of, a little more caution on defense/counters though. also no silly fouls from ezi anymore in dangerous areas.....SK and UZB are much better than qatar and china in those areas. not to mention beiro has had some suspect moments so far, I really dont trust in him.

I know IRIB lacks enthusiasm because most people in government are antifun and generally boring but I do hope one day we can watch Iranian commentators exhibit the passion the South American/Asian ones do .
I am happy we no longer have to mess around with shitty (Arab) streams and issues with broadcasting overall, the 2014 WCQ's were a complete drama when it came down to whether IRIB would show TM's games or not. Footballitarin was never reliable too.
