    Tabrik.

Passing the ball was not good, and many balls were sent forward aimlessly.

I am happy with the win. Yes, Amiri should have scored in dying minues.

I don't know how overweight Lobanov was when he joined PP but I think he has had some "gains" since leaving

Although we played a bit too defensive, but definitely deserved the win, as we created way more scoring opportunities and blundered 2-3 sitters. This game could have easily ended in a 3-0 or 4-0 had we been more clinical with our finishing touches.

Uzbekistan on the other hand could not create a single scoring chance, all they did was possession which once again and against what many PFDC members typically believe, means NOTHING, you can keep high possession throughout the entire game, yet fail to score, which precisely translate into failure. It's like having a 2 hour hot sex without reaching an orgasm, imagine how it feels when that happens...

Please note this victory wasn't a fluke, we played calculatedly and had a certain tactic to follow and achieve, and we did it!

Congrats to all Iranians, as this was a precious away win against a decent opponent!

            All I say is:

            Seyd Jalal!!!!

He's definitely the best central defender I have seen playing in TM! Enjoy him while he's still playing!!! and I'm not saying that because he scored the goal!

              He is a legend.
How not one agent was able to sell him to a European club is very sad.
Hosseini even today could start in any midlevel European club in a top 5 league.

We should've scored more goals which is very crucial in these competitions especially when you have a Qatar in your group giving up 5 goals on the final matchday.
Anyways, this is VERY crucial 3 points for us. Sorta wish Qatar got a result on Korea so it gave us more comfort but I will take it. Can't wait for Korea game in Azadi on Tuesday. We need to go after the full 3 points.

As far as player performances, defense was great as always, but also good performances from Shojaei, Hajsafi, Rezaeian. Terrible game by Amiri and Azmoun.
Hopefully, JB starts the next match and we won't have to worry about Amiri.

I truly dislike that Ghaynrikh guy. He is such film-bazi and a dirty player. He elbowed a few players including Biranvand in the box, and I really didn't like his whining and complaining.

Sorry to the Uzbek members who had high hopes, but we all knew this was going to happen. They were a very toothless team, and they cannot beat us without the referee gifting them the game like in Tehran on the road to Brazil.

See ya next year Uzbek guys so you can again tell us how much better you are than us and then disappear.

Glad we got the three points and were able to take it easy on people like Ashkan, Azmoun, JB, and Ansarifard for Korea. Milad, Masoud, Beiro, and Hosseini were great. Overall we need to work on possession and pass the ball more.

Congrats to Iran! fully deserved win. hopefully this will lead to the firing of Uzb's so called "coach".

Uzbekistan home record for last 16 games
                        WON 14
LOST 2 (both against Team MELLIII)

VERY HAPPY with the result and the 1st 30 minutes and a well-deserved hard-fought win for the boys, CQ and TM fans.

I'm still a bit concerned that in the last two matches we've struggled in 2nd halves against teams that we totally dominated in the 1st half - of course, against Qatar, we struggled for most of the match until injury time.

Hope to see this improve in the coming matches as one of the things I truly enjoyed under CQ was that we had become a 90 minute team, rather than the old 70 minute teams... Hope we get back that form.

Looking forward to the Korea match after their tiring win, long flight to Tehran and missing a key player and with CQ's smart rotation giving us a few fresh players... 4th consecutive win against Korea> Yeah baby!

On a different note, is anyone else getting these server busy messages? This never used to happen, but it's almost impossible to post after TM matches

What do Uzbek fans think of him (even before the game today).

And how is Lubanov allowed to start? He is not in shape.
Although he was actually quite good for your team today.

Koreans are playing with offensive passion. If we don't attack, they will score. I know that sounds obvious, but their coach is desperate to win. He is apparently on the chopping block.

And the server busy messages are a common theme here after games. A lot of users on this forum, fortunately!
