in europe the coach does not make the final decision on who comes on board. The General Manager makes that ultimate decision. Now usually the General Manager and head coach work together to sign players .. I don't think Nouri had much say in this transfer.

Terrible news. Apparently this guy was a fan favourite aswell as being a very talented footballer.
