Who was the greatest foreign player to play in the IPL?

Just curious. Who would you guys say is the greatest foreign player to ever play in the IPL, taking into account the previous teams he's played on, goals scored, or international rep.

In terms of pure contribution to the league:

Januario, Toure, Nilson, Igor Castro I think are the top. Castro was instrumental in Zob Ahan's ACL Final run, Toure was a goal scoring machine (league and ACL), and Januario was the best foreign all around midfielder I've seen in this league. Also an amazing personality and well liked by everyone.

We also had many more very good foreign players (Bruno Cesar for example), but they didn't stay long, so its hard to mention them in this list.

Eamon Zayed who created the 10-10-3 (10 min 10 players and 3 goals) disaster for SS Tehran. (joking, there were much better players than him)

I think Ibrahima Toure was amazing during his IPL especially with Sepahan

              Four way tie between:

              - Ebi Toure
              - Januario
              - Emad Reza
              - Edinho

None were necessarily the most high profile but they all tore it up in one way or another playing in our league. They were one of the best if not THE best player on their teams in their prime.

Iraqi Emad Mohammed was by far the best. Much better than Toure and spearheaded Sepahans success in ACL and domestically. Also scored 2 quick goals for Sepahan in the Club WC in 2007 when we beat that New Zealand club.

I think in 2010 he won agha goal when Sepahan took the trophy

Bruno Cesar (unfortunately for staying in IPL so short)
                      Armenak Petrosian
                      Jesus
                      Januario

These 4 were a head and shoulder above the rest.

Good call on Emad Reza and Edinho, can't believe I forgot them. Emad was a tank, and Edinho is still going with his goalscoring ways. If he can help Terakator have a decent ACL run then he can go down as one of the best as well.

                          Best foreign player: Di Marco

Edit - yeah indeed, it was actually Di Carmo, not Di Marco lol

In that line, the best foreign coach: Ghotbi

Yeah man hes the one stand out for me. Both in being good and having a long tenure - consistency - something most of the foreign players don't have.
