        I mean, sure it sounds a bit far fetched, but it's not utterly impossible. 2038 is is 22 years from now.... No one can deny that the Iran of 22 years ago looked much different than the Iran of today. A lot changes in 22 years. For all we know, we might actually see some decent stadiums by 2038. We might not get the hosting privilege, but I can maybe see us going to like, the final 4 picks

          You do make a great point! A lot can change within a 22 year span. Look how much advanced places like UAE and Qatar have become within that span.. Who knows with this new deal, sanctions being lifted, and possible ties to the West, such things could happen, but it's still laughable idea under this current regime.
          Until Iran allows their women to enter stadiums and have access to bars for people outside the stadiums, then idea is a joke

            It has nothing to do with infrastructure issues. The will never happen because Iran violates human rights. Their is no way Fifa can agree to host the games in a country that can't even comply with the rest of the world. This has to be the biggest joke of all time.

              Budweiser is also a big sponsor for FIFA. lol go check what they did in Brazil to be able to sell beer in the stadiums.

                Qatar=bad logic

                As someone who went to the WC in Brazil.. half the fun is women and people there who are drinking. There doesnt need to be an Islamic world cup where men gather round and clap respectfully for a world event. Screw that.

                Lets target an Asian cup hosting

                        Na.. Qatar applied, got the hosting privilege and then started to build the stadiums.

                          You mean Qatar is considered a country that respects human rights and complies with the rest of the world?

                              Yes you can apply without it, but you must show I believe 10-12 stadiums that can fit 44000 or more people. So Iran has to build 11 top class stadiums and have viable plans.

                              The biggest issue against a Iran bid is females in stadiums, and alcohol. Without these provisions we are not getting a worldcup or asian cup.

                                True but why 11? We already have 3 stadiums over 44k! 1 more in Shiraz is under construction so 4.
