I saw the highlights of the game with Russia and they players looked pretty Russian to me. Are you sure they were Brazilian? Did they dye their hair blonde or something? Or was it a mix of Russian and Brazilian players?

Do those 4 names sound Russian? Also note that these 4 have all recieved national team invites from Brazil FFA but chose Russia instead...likely for financial incentives.

Had this team won Russia (which they really should have) they would have won the world cup. Nevertheless.. an amazing achievement and so proud of our boys.

Our boys had to fight 3 different Brazilian teams and although they beat the main one Brazil itself but lost to the other two Azarbayejan and Russia...

We did not lose to Brazilbaijan, we tied them 3-3

was only able to watch highlights of all the games due to heavy work schedule, but your right, from the highlight reel, we seemed to be all over the Russians like white on rice and wasted a handful or more solid goal scoring chances while the Russians scored on the few chances offered to them..!

still that was brilliant performance on the world stage from the boys...! dameshoon garm..!
well deserved 3rd place finish too..!

I've been trying to ignore this thread for the longest time...if memory serves right last time we played them for a wc qualifier we barely
Squeezed out the win in Uzbekistan.This time at the moment they are the group leaders and should be the favourites.I have not been impressed at all with Irans front line and I fear Iran might be in for a shocker.
