You guys are so mean. A lot of light skin Iranians like sardar get these bags and dark areas under their eyes. I'm lighter than him and if I don't get enough sleep I low key look pretty fucked up too. It's one of the shitty things about being pale. I honesty just think he is tired since it is the first season in his life that he is playing so many hard games. WCQ, CL, RPL and starting in pretty much all of them.

Back home (from a fking conference) I did watch the highlights. From what i saw and according to what all of you wrote, it was a very clean and delightful match to watch. So happy about that. I am going to watch the entire match afterwards.
This game, once again, is confirming what we have been shouting during all the years:
Pedarjan, defensive playing does not match the iranian mentality. Our mentality is requiring an offensive game tactic, of course by some portion of self confidence and the neccessary team discipline. These 2 attitudes has CQ appearantly succeeded to implement.
See here;
played offensive vs qatar we won
played more defensive vs china we did not win ( the weakest team in the group)
played offensive vs Uzbekistan we won
played offensive vs korea we won

There had been weeks of noise and chaos by the clerics and pro-IR gang in the country over this match coinciding Tasooa Ashoora, trying to change the match day, however once this proposal was turned down by FIFA, they came up with so many solutions to prevent people from jubilation upon scoring goals. They urged people and players not to be happy and celebrate when goals are scored, and instead chant "Ya Hossein" 3 times.

Congratulations Iranian friends! Team Melli is truly the strongest team in Asia at the moment. Not necessarily because of two wins against two principal opponents, but, I think, mainly due to the game itself. Although I couldn't watch the matches in whole, I can see from statistics and read from the news that Team Melli fairly outplayed both Uzbekistan and South Korea. Very well organized and highly disciplined team. Tabrik migoyam! Moafaq bashed!

and to think that just 10 years ago, we had a team divided up between Daei supporters on one side and karimi supporters on the other, where a Goal Kick had to be taken by a defender given Mirzapour's shortcomings and Enayati and Khatibi were part of our attacking lineup, all while Karimi decides to boycott the Angola game. We had defenders slapping each other on the field a few years before, and if that's wasn't enough, a few years later, we had the aghili and rahmati soap opera and all the Navad appearences from spoiled players performing their annual ghahr-bazi routine.
How far we have come from those days. Never in the history of our football, Pre or Post revolution, have we had a team so united and so diciplined. This is a testament to how much CQ has contributed to our football program.“It is easier to fool the people, than to convince them they have been fooled." - Mark Twain

Not to get ahead of our selfs here but it can be so that both Uzb and Korea had bad days when they played us. Or totalty miss judged our game plan. Something is not right here... i follow TM since 1998 and never seen us outplay our oppnents, except some low ranked teams, the way we did in these two games. I wounder how we would deal with saudi arabia.
