That was the most complete performance I've seen from Iran in years.
Is there anyone left who doubts Dejagah? He was marvelous and the unsung hero of the night.
And the fullbacks! Rezaieian can play wherever he wants if he plays like that for Iran. MilaMo was great at LB too, extremely hard-working and brave, especially for a short defender.
MilaMo at LB allows for the reemergence EHSAN FABREGAS to come and play center midfield, where he made is name as a youth. Now all the midfielders are technically capable good passers who are comfortable in possession. Watching them switch places and cover for each other made me feeling like I was watching a club side instead of a National team.
If it they got another goal it would have been an absolutely perfect performance. Also the whole Tasu'a thing worked in our favor, it was extremely intimidating.

I was very impressed especially by Jahanbakhsh, Amiri, Hajsafi, Pouraliganji, Rezaeian and Mohammadi, all of these were great!
Hajsafi was very very good in his new position, damesh garm!

We had 11 shots, 4 of which were on goal.
They had 1 shot, none on goal!

Simply put brilliant performance, we played so good that I was in the end kind of dissapointed that we only won with 1 goal..
A few things are certain in this world.

1.The sun will go up.
2.The sun will go down.
3. Iran with CQ will beat South Korea.

Excellent, disciplined and nearly flawless game from TM as a whole and a well deserved win and fourth clean sheet - not to mention 4th straight win against Korea.

High praise to CQ for his tactical mastery in this match... we completely shut Korea down. Dame hamashoon garm... the whole team and the coaching cadre.

The supposed best offesive team in this group couldn't even register 1 shot on target ( NOT ONE!! Let that sink in) against tm's defense. What else needs to be said about tm's performance thus far in this qualification stage. They have been fantastic and CQ deserve so much of the praise.

Its insane that I really at no point felt threatened by korea's attack. I felt the same way by Uzbekistan. This is all because of how amazing tm has become in defending under CQ. Thus far this has been the smoothest and easiest qualification campaign for tm and the reason for that is our incredible tactical organization.

Beiranvand - 7, solid when needed on the exits, good passes up front to our players off of goal kicks etc, but never really tested so cant give him higher than that

Rezaeian - 8.5, fantastic from him. Him, dejagah, and AJB linked so well down that right side. Ramin did excellent to track back on the korean wingers that tried to do cutting runs, he ran for every single ball and header. Truly world-class play from him. Composed, smart on the ball, just so proud to see his play.

Hosseini and Pouraliganhi - 8, very very solid defensively as always, they did a great job of shutting down those massive Korean forwards. Only slight complaint goes to Hosseini who at times went back to hoofing the ball up to our forwards, but otherwise he played smart balls.

Mohammadi - 8, great performance on the left side and great effort. One or two instances of sloppiness, and the Koreans tried to take advantage of our left side but he did a great job of dealing with the pressure for the most part.

Hajsafi and Eztollahi - 9, our midfield was totally dominant both offensively and defensively, in large part due to the talash of these guys. Played smart and calm during our attacks and tracked back well.

Jahanbakhsh - 8, hungry to push the ball offensively and had some great dribbles/passes that led to good chances. Admittedly, he is sloppy at times on our attacks but his presence in the midfield made him difficult for the Koreans to deal with.

Dejagah - 8.5, probably MOTM along with Rezaian. Did not see his usual sloppy bull-running at all in the first half and he did excellent to make the perfect decisions in virtually every instance he got the ball. Really cannot stress how great our midfield was this game thanks to ashkan.

Amiri - 8, solid performance, played intelligently and did not waste the ball as he has done on some occasions in the past. Not as technically gifted as the rest but a real work-horse that is invaluable defensively and in getting running for our attacks.

Azmoun - 7, a great poacher of goals as it takes some real talent to finish a half-chance like that. Unpredictable and talented, but horrible horrible decision making on our counters. I mean seriously, there were a couple instances where he could have put Rezaeian through or finished that one free kick or controlled the ball better on 2 separate occasions that would have been high quality chances but instead was sloppy. I think Gucci should have come on earlier in the second half, as that may well have led to a second goal. But again, i gotta give credit where it's due as his finish was superb.

It's amazing how great of a game we get to watch when there is a quality ref.

Anyone else thinks we could have had 2-0 if Azmoun passed the ball to Rezaiean around minute 80? He's getting kinda greedy lately, he did some similar thing against Uzbekistan. Still glad he scored the winner though and glad Team Melli won! I think Dejagah, Rezaiean, and Beiranvand were the best players on the field. BTW, Jahanbakhsh got MotM after the game
