TM has historically had a knack for dropping the Supposed Guaranteed Points vs Minnows of Asia..!
our Relaxing when we get a ahead a little and general Dastekam Gereftegi of the minnows behavior has subsided significantly under CQ's leadership (especially after that embarrassing debacle @Lebonan which opened Carlos's eyes to this nasty habit of our TM..!!)..!

Yet, even now(After repeated warnings from CQ) we can see how this issue is Still at the Core of our Football Organization..!
CQ's latest FB lashing @ IFF for Yet Again SHITTING ALL OVER HIS METICULOUSLY PLANNED pre-game Preparation Schedule, and yet again Failing to provide his TM with Adequate Training Facilities and Timing and Needed preparatory Test Matches is a testament to exposing this precise Nasty habit of ours..!!

Here we have the golden chance to bag 3 points and really get 1 foot into WC Russia and our ever-cavalier, slackers in IFF trivialize this important fixture and if and when we drop points, they are the first assholes who come out in public and point to the coach or some individual players as the Culprit..!!

To be fair I don't know how much blame can be put on IFF this time for the friendly match issue. Thailand's king died. That was not in the plan. Otherwise we would have had a good game versus a decent team in a good camp.

IFF shoulda already had a list of available alternates and they've had plenty of time to look for one and organize it if they knew their heads from their asses and took their jobs more seriously and not sit on their asses always looking for excuses to cancel CQ's WC Preparation plans and camps..!! and this AFTER HOW MANY FKING TIMES DOING THE SAME EXACT SHITT...!!? Is Carlos now expected to shoulder their responsibilities too..!?
im sure many others here are getting way too tired of their repeated bs excuses..!! oh we are broke..!? we dont have money, the world hates us..!!
YOU ARE THE NUMBER 1 RATED FOOTBALL COUNTRY IN FKING ASIA FOR QUIET SOMETIMES NOW..!! NOW GO OUT AND GAIN SPONSORS, MARKET YOUR BRAND PROFESSIONALLY, RAISE NECESSARY FUNDS, AT LEAST TRY TO BECOME MORE LIKABLE IN OUTSIDERS EYES, BUILD NECESSARY FOOTBALL ALLEGIANCES WITH OTHER APPROPRIATE COUNTRIES.... ETC ETC ETC..
DONT HAVE ALL YOUR PLANNING EGGS IN ONE FKING BASKET AND DONT COME CRYING LIKE A BITCH, CANCEL EVERYTHING YOU INITIALLY PLANNED WHEN UNAVOIDABLY A SNAG IN THE ORIGINAL PLANS COME UP..!!
FOR HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO TOLERATE THIS BS, AMATEUR BEHAVIOR FROM IFF..??

Every game is important. Players, coaches, fans, all should do their job to win.

Syria is a good team and players play with passion (Ghayrat).

Iraq plays its HOME games in Iran. Syria should have played their HOME games in Iran too. Malaysia is far and difficult for both teams.

May the good team to win in a fair environment. That is WHAT sport and sportsmanship are all about. Iran will be ready.

I do trust in CQ and confident that we will overcome Syria., but Iranian mentality is still difficult to be controlled. Any complacency will cost us heavily in this match.

Syria is probably going to park the bus and expect a lots and lots of time wasting. They did it against SK so we should be fully prepared for that one. That's one thing CQ should prepare our team for. They need to remain calm and play their own game and don't let syrian grass rollers get under their skin.

We need to do exactly what we did in games against Uzb and SK. Score early in the first 20 min and we should be good.

They will come for a tie with a strong defensive stategy. I doubt they can score against Iran with this defense we have. But it will be tough to score against them. From now on all teams will play carefull when they play us. Next round will be more dificult until Iran is qualified

In WCQs 2010, we were the only team who dropped points against UAE.

In WCQs 2002, we dropped points against the weakest team of the group Thailand.

In WCQ 1998, we failed to win against the weakest team of the group Kuwait in both legs unlike other teams.

Conclusion: Before the draw, everyone said the group is similar to the last campaign with the addition of China and Syria is more or less equivalent of Lebanon of the previous group.

Now we see that Syria was better team than Qatar and China in the first 4 matches. Not only they are a good team and better than what people expected, also the history shows that we never get six points against these types of teams in the final round of WCQs.

Based on the history, we will fail to win this match. Yes, this is what the history says. Now what do we need to do in order to maximize our chance to win this match and create a new history? Treat this game harder than first 4 games and for me this game is as tough as the first 4 games even harder. Think that the first match of WCQs in the final round is extremely difficult but the next match is always more difficult than previous match in this round of qualifiers. Be more than 100% ready for this game. Be united for this match.

Warning! we faced against Syria many times in the past and I can never remember an easy game against them. We have chance to win this game and that must be our only aim from this game but it will be very difficult. This game is one of the hardest matches in our history of WCQs matches.
I agree with you, We are most certainly the under dog for this match, Hopefully Queiroz can prepare our players well for this match
                        WE ARE THE UNDER DOGS

Why would Syria come into this game looking for one point? If they don't win this game they are practically out!! 1 point isn't going to do anything for them. they have a total of 4 points right now. they are in a MUST win situation. Unless they already think of themselves as eliminated, which again is no reason for parking the bus!
If Syria does a "park the bus", I would push Hajsafi into Ashkan's position, move ashkan to the right side in Taremi's position and move Taremi to the box next to Azmoun. Keep two forwards in the box which should give Hajsafi some room behind the 18 yard line to work on rebounds. and if we score a goal (or two) we can switch back without having to make a sub.
