From the games you have seen, Is Spain Stronger than Germany and Mexico or at the same level?...
Spain beat Germany in PKs in the Euro U17 tournament a few months ago & became European champions, beating England in PKs too. Take it for what it's worth
Mohammad Sharifi really needs to stand out in the game v. Spain. He was incredible in Asia U16, but not very impressive this tournament.
yea man , didnt follow him before much but so far in this tourney he has been rather mute and overall not even Avg...!!
was gonna say it earlier, sounds like he was just another wrong-pick overly hyped player by EU media pre tourney...!!?
sorta like that Chocker, homeboy SS MFdr forgot his name?? for our U21 earlier..!
If we make it past Spain it will be an African team, either Mali or Ghana (I dont think Niger will make it). They made the 1st and 2nd place in CAF U16 Championship (Guinea was 3rd, Niger 4th).
1- I like the fact Tha we have faced highly tactical teams (Germany, who as a team played sensibly and tactical. Their failing was their comparative individual skills to our lads), physical teams (African team) and now a team filled with fast, skillful individual players (Mexico) and have come out on top in all scenarios.
Shows the great potential of this team
2- I also like that we were put under a lot of pressure for almost the entire game vs. Mexico. .... And our defense, more or less held.
Great lesson for youngsters to keep their wits about and gain confidence that they can face rough and high pressure situations
3- My only worry is our traditional aschille heel, which is mental fortitude and focus in UNFAMILIAR (and stressful) circumstances like being in quarter finals of a WC. We know we can face almost any team now. Spian wouldn't be more tactical than the Germans or more physical than the Africans or more skillful than the Mexicans. Our only consideration shd be to maintain focus and confidence of the youngsters .
We get that done then I wouldn't be worried about the opponents all that much.
BTW, I really like Sayyad's game. He's of the rare forward type who pounces on half chances and isn't shy to shoot. Being quick and skillful with the ball are the icings on the cake. I hope we nurture these talents to make fantastic seniors out of them

African teams are very difficult to play in these tournaments. Overage players.
You are right, the last tournaments final was Nigeria against Mali. And out of the last 5 editions it was won 3 times by Nigeria. Still every African team until now was beaten at least once.
