but we do know this IS the time for such weather conditions. and if you have options, you must avoid such conditions.
I also notice you're avoiding the hypocrisy of enforcing rules too
I'm not avoiding anything. I'm arguing against there being some sort of conspiracy.
We should fight AFC's hypocrisy.راه یکی است و آن راستی است

Even in winter time, the pitches in some venues are technologically equipped to have certain heating systems to nullify, or at the very least minimize risk.
Also, the choice of venue is not entirely up to the opposing/home team; it requires the approval of the AFC.
If the pitch is sub-standard, and poses an injury threat, the venue should be moved. The AFC had advance knowledge of this several months ago, being familiar with weather conditions at this time of year, and approved the venue.
Sure, you can try to make the argument that the pitch was the same quality for the opposing team, but respectfully, I think this is just side-stepping the issue, because in this case, the poor and dangerous pitch worked to their advantage by slowing down the attacks, and ground game of their far superior tactical and technical opponents. Same applies to Korea Republic
With the snow it was dangerous. As you can see from the Korea - Syria match, that pitch is fine.
Weather cannot be predicted and that is why football matches are played in all kinds of conditions.راه یکی است و آن راستی است

From this point on :
BESIDES THE OBVIOUS DESIRE TO SEE ** IRAN ** WIN (or at least NOT LOSE) ...
We should all be rooting for UZBEKS to keep dropping points.
Our qualification will be ensured once we are certain of AT LEAST second place.
This can happen with even 11 or 12 more points.
SYRIANS next HOME game is v. UZBEKS and from what I saw today , they defend well. Uzbeks beat them 1-0 in Tashkent.
If Syria could beat Uzbeks it would be huge for us.
Our next matches are AWAY to QATAR and a few days later HOME v CHINA.
Both of these teams are beatable, and BOTH will be playing for survival in the group.
If we win those two games, then the match v UZBEKS could decide whether we are guaranteed a trip to Russia, by defeating the Uzbeks.
I am optimistic. NOBODY has scored against us, or even come CLOSE to beating us.

And don't be surprised to see corrupted AFC changing the venue after this.
Malaysia faces two monsoon winds seasons, the Southwest Monsoon from late May to September, and the Northeast Monsoon from October to March. The Northeast Monsoon brings in more rainfall compared to the Southwest Monsoon,[4] originating in China and the north Pacific. The southwest monsoon originates from the deserts of Australia. March and October form transitions between the two monsoons.[3]راه یکی است و آن راستی است

Bottom line :
WE ARE , not only the most consistent team in OUR group, but in BOTH groups.
SOLID defense wins tournaments unless its penalty shoot-outs. We HAVE THAT.
For us to LOSE a match to these teams, they will have to play PERFECT AND GET LUCKY.
Anything can happen in Football, but right now, we ALL need to be optimistic.
BEST THING that happened to us in this first round was the win vs. UZBEKS in their house. HUGE advantage that may end up being the difference in how we qualify.
This is a young team with many players who have been thru the experience of the AFC Cup. Solid in defense and they work hard for each other. AND we have good depth, when we can bring it players like AMIRI and GUCCI off the bench.
We were missing AZMUN, ANDO, and HAJSAFI. This is a GOOD squad. Love it so far.
Good to see Ansarifard playing hard today.

They attaccked us from our right today. Our left was pretty secure and almost created the goal with his cross that Jahanbaksh missed with the header.

here, it wasnt even the home country. And AFC should have been aware of the weather conditions at this time of year.
They also had the pick of at least 6-7 other countries (makes at least 10+ venues in other words) whose weather conditions would have been optimal.
you're just picking one item and saying "no malice".
but if you add up various items and issues, you'd see both syrian fed'n and AFC were culpable.
The korea game looks perfectly fine and it may have been at the end of monsoon and weather reports would have cleared the venue.
But right now, we're bang in the middle of the freaking monsoon. if anything, you HAVE TO expect rain

I don't disagree with them making bad decisions. Like I said, I only disagree that it's a conspiracy.راه یکی است و آن راستی است
