What they do know how to do is make the game ali asghari long ball high school style to ruin a teams passing rhythm.I have a feeling we can win this game because we are less passive than South Korea and Uzbekistan. We dont pass for possession sake. We're also the biggest aerial threat against them even with Azmoun out.
I say 2-0 we take it. One goal in the first half. Another late in the second half.

with CQ. Iraqis are blaming two of their players for getting money and giving two easy penalty to KSA. Dirty thing may start now since they know Iran is too good. Specially in 2017. That is why CQ does not announce the name of players
until the game.
In every game Qatar has played so far the ref has been very kind to Qatar.
KSA wins the two first game with 3 penaly.
UAE wins japan with an unfair penalty as well as rulling out a safe goal.

the only thing that is worrisome to me is the weather. light rain is no problem. 80 F temperature is not an issue. but a down pour like the one we saw today over there will make the game impossible to manage and very unpredictable. hope we luck out with the weather.
I am also not sure if Syria would come to this game aiming for 1 point. I mean what's 1 point for them given they are in early due or die situation.
I think they will come to this game willing to take risk and push forward. which should theoretically be an advantage for us.

^ im fairly certain they'll come to this match with a packed defense hoping for a goalless draw ..! but i can see them quickly changing to a more daring attacking tactics once they concede the opener, even if it happens early on in 1st half..!!
like you, my main worry is the weather..!! i think ultra wet playing conditions favors their chances of a favorable result, although it seems as boys poured it on PNG mostly after it started raining catsNdogs..!!?
my next worry is shoddy, scandalous officiating......! its been a while since and i think we'r just about due for it...!!?

If the weather conditions are really bad and the pitch is soaked under water and we have to play long balls most of the time instead of ground play, then not having Azmoun might actually hurt us more than initially thought.
Perhaps it'd be better to play Taremi in that case for the physical aerial battles and Ghoochannejhad right behind him. But that's only if the weather and pitch conditions wouldn't allow us to play our usual game.
On the other hand, with bad conditions the Syrian defenders are bound to make a lot of mistakes at the back and since Reza is a very opportunistic striker who's always on the lookout for defensive errors, he might be able to punish them.
It'll be a tough game I'm afraid.Last edited by Amin_; 11-11-2016, 05:04 AM.Persian Pride running through my veins!

Can someone tell me why we have to play Syria in "Malaysia"? I know Syria cant hold any football games in their country but why should they want to play a home game against Iran in a country so much different from their own country when it comes to climate and so on? I dont see any home advantage for Syria playing in Malaysia. Both teams have to spend hours on transportation to Malaysia to.... Would it not be better for the Syrians to play Iran in Dubai or something?
