World Cup Qualifier: Syria - Iran; Info, Updates and Live Reports (15.11.2016)

Can someone tell me why we have to play Syria in "Malaysia"? I know Syria cant hold any football games in their country but why should they want to play a home game against Iran in a country so much different from their own country when it comes to climate and so on? I dont see any home advantage for Syria playing in Malaysia. Both teams have to spend hours on transportation to Malaysia to.... Would it not be better for the Syrians to play Iran in Dubai or something?

Malaysia was the designated country to host all Syrian home games. It makes no sense. I don't see why Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain or any other gulf country who isn't involved in the final stage for qualifications could not host these games and keep Syria in its own region but then again not much of what AFC does makes any sense so this seems acceptable.

The Syrian problem is an 'internal' arab affair. Because of the animosity of Arabs toward eachother the bigger powers are dragged into the conflict.

We are only supporting Assad because we are allies and they supported us against Iraq. So we stick to out words.
