The pitch conditions were against any FIFA standards for a WCQ match. Safety of the players was compromised.
The only place where this kind of thing might happen is "football mahallat"

      Cheers
I'm afraid to ask what you think of the "regular iranian guy"

Check the thread then. There are plenty of examples of terrible conditions in a WCQ match.

              most likely results :

              Qatar 1 Iran 1

              Iran 2 China 0

              Iran 1 Uzbak 0

              Iran 0 Korea 1

              Iran 3 Syria 0

These gives us 10 points which seems to be enough to qualify I guess. I am not worried but if this pitch was not the venue we had a far better condition now
              And Gucci's goal was onside

I remember those members saying our beloved Syrian bros will play with gheyrat and passion..
Eat this..2 point thrown away..Uzbeks and Koreans laughing..before the game started you have to protest 4 days all day raining..

I don't understand why Syria would go into this game to get a draw. Are they already setting their sights on third spot?

They can't even do that because most likely it will be Korea or Uzbek at 3rd spot. they are just acting as their Arab mission to prevent Iran from advancing but in their wildest dream

We have dropped 4 points to arguably the 2 worst teams in the group. Of course beating the strong teams is nice but we cant at the same time drop points against the minnows of the group. The china draw was terrible and this one is bad but at least weather was the major factor in this game.

If they win against Qatar, China and Uzbekistan they should be fine for third place. Doesn't matter at that point if they lose to Korea or TM.

both away games; one against a park the bus China and one in a swamp against Syria.
Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.

Everyone else saw us as playing for a draw, which is fine btw.
surely you must be able to distinguish between playing defensive (parking the bus) and utterly unsportsman-like behavior.
while I dont like parking the bus tactics, nevertheless, it is NOT unsportsmanlike. it's just an ugly TACTIC.
                                grass-rolling is NOT.

as for the argument "same conditions for all", it is wrong argument.
the point is this venue and region as a whole could and should have been avoided. seasonal rains and monsoon is expected and any idiot with half a brain would know such conditions should be expected. While there were PLENTY of alternatives available (central asian countries, UAE, Oman, ...)
so the fact that despite such knowledge, the AFC (and the syrian gutters) picked and accepted this, shows there's more going on.
that is not mentioning the AFC's other preconditions (like seats, condition of pitch, ... ) all of whch would have ruled out such a stadium ... and yet, they approved it on this occasion.
you put all this together and see why ppl are complaining
