no because we had better kepper than him, like hejazi who had a manchester united offer, but of davari played for a big team than yes, if you play in a shitty team than no, there is a difference between a big team and small team, but generally if you play in a big team or reputational team in europe than you are better than IPL players

and in which big team did Rahman Rezaei play?Originally posted by ehsan singapore View Postno because we had better kepper than him, like hejazi who had a manchester united offer, but of davari played for a big team than yes, if you play in a shitty team than no, there is a difference between a big team and small team, but generally if you play in a big team or reputational team in europe than you are better than IPL players
Ps. Also if it's about who's played in a better league/team, I don't know how you choose Minavand over Milad Mohammadi!

I do NOT like this thread.
This thread is divisive. To me, all Iranian players were and are great. Each person had a role and now has a role which to me all of them were and are important.
Football is a team game. Iranians must learn to work together.
A lesson: Anybody can brake a pencil easily, regardless of how well it writes. I can tell no PFDC member can brake 11 pencils when they are tied together. This is the lesson we must learn and work towards it.چو ایران نباشد تن من مباد

With CQ as coach, Karimi and Rezaie would have no place on this team.Originally posted by irani8perspolis View Post-----------------Hejazi----------------------

So per your definitions, anyone who happened to play in the Champion's league is better than anyone who didn't! This means, Ali Karimi should by far be better than Karim Bagheri and Nekounam because not only he played in the champion's league, he also played in Bayern Munich. Ali Daei, Ali Karimi and Hashemian should then be Iran's very best players in history, above everyone else and Davari is our second best goalkeeper in history after Hejazi (CQ must be very unfair and wrong for not giving such a goalkeeper playing time in the WC).Originally posted by ehsan singapore View Posti choose minavand because,

I'm sorry dude but your arguments don't really hold. You have an opinion about which players you like to have in your favorite team, which I completely respect! but then it can not be based on the rules you are stating. The thing is, both Rezaei and Minavand were overrated. In fact, except the right back position, the rest of the back line of TM today has probably the best players we've had in those positions, specially in CB! Maybe, just maybe Pashazadeh can compete with the defenders of today but since he was injured for such a long time in his career, it's more fair to put him on the bench!
Here is my best TM:
-----------------------------Abedzadeh---------------------------------------------
----Zarrincheh------Hosseini--------Montazeri/PAG-----------Mohammadi------
----------------------Ghelich----------Bagheri--------------------------------------
----Mahdavikia--------------Karimi------------------------Dejagah----------------
-------------------------------Daei---------------------------------------------------
Sub: Hejazi, Ali Parvin, Sirous Ghayeghran, Nekounam, Azizi, Pashazadeh, etc.
Alternatively you can sub Nekounam with Ali Karimi and bring Bagheri one line up as CAM instead!
My selection is only based on who was the best of the best in his position, according to my opinion. It was definitely not based on who played in Europe and which team otherwise you'd go wrong! Many of our players who were worthy of playing in big European teams, didn't go there because of various reasons! Not because they were worse than the ones who did go to big teams!

You can not really "prove" any player is good or bad all together! It's rather a matter of opinion! Going to Europe and being successful there is definitely a big merit but not all! By seeing each player play in his position in TM for years, you get an idea about them. For example Hosseini was wanted by different clubs in Bundesliga but he never joined them for his own personal reasons. Having seen him play in TM almost without any major mistakes for years, makes him more favorable than other defenders we had who did have a few or more bad mistakes. Mahdavikia was wanted by big teams, not the least a few from EPL for a good while. He chose (right or wrong) to remain in Hamburg his whole career. This doesn't make him a worse player compared to let's say, Ali Karimi who played in Bayern Munich. Not the least, Karim Bagheri was among our few players who could have become a star in Europe by playing in top European teams. After his unlucky long term injury and at the same time the loss of his father, he wasn't the same player ever again. So his European career finished there. But before those incidents, I can not count many of our players who could even get close to his skills. PAG is another player who could and should have joined a European team but obviously he chose money over a European career. Still his presence in TM is far better than many others. Abedzadeh never went to Europe but Haghighi and Sosha Makani did. I don't even need to write more about that.Originally posted by ehsan singapore View Postyou may be right, but if you didnt go europe, then how can you prove your a good player?playing in arab leagues or in iran?
The bottom line is, going to Europe and to big teams are good but not everything. We have many many top talents who deserve to play in European teams but for different reasons, they don't. It certainly doesn't always tell about their skills as footballers.
