This Mahdi Taj is doing it right!

Mahdi takes impact in the few months that he's been IFF president has been impressive. He knows we need infrastructure so he builds as much as he can with the little money he has and when he runs out of money he signs MOU's with neighbouring countries that have amazing faculties. In this case the UAE!

ya, we can now say that we have a great coach and a solid leader in the federation. Taj was president at Sepahan when they won their first league title and pretty much dominated the IPL for the following years.

TM has now, charter airplanes, Adidas shirts, more new stadiums are coming up and now available facilities and training camps!! The only thing we need are more good friendlies and we'll hopefully be in the WC without major problems.

Having said that, using UAE's facilities is not a long term solution! We need to have our own and unfortunately we Iranians usually like to sweep our problems under the carpet as much as possible, specially when we have short term solutions!

Well, either we build new stadiums because of fund allocation or we use world Class ones in countires who are geographically close to us. The second option is worst than the first one but the only one we have available to us.

How is that exactly? Because they want to call it "the gulf"? You don't think if Caspian Sea was called The Russia Sea, Iranians and the neighboring countries would want to change that name? Considering we see each other as historical rivals?

***I really don't understand why all this Arab hate. Seriously most Persians I see in rl get along very well with Arabs. And in a crowd of other races usually Iranians and Arabs intermingle due to such a close similarity between us. Yes they "grassroll" or recruit "mercenaries" for their football team but are we not going to extend an arm and leave it at that? We got cheated off from wrestling and weightlifting by post soviet nations. Corruption exists everywhere and if Iran was in charge of AFC and had the money they would pretty much try to use their influence to their advantage.

Our anger comes from the fact that we are disappointed of how behind the Iranians are in some areas and want to blame our short comings on Arabs.
