The Persian Empire is long gone while our neighbors are using the time to buildup. UAE has to be respected for the effort they have put in to place Persian Gulf and their country on the map. While Iranians have been slacking. This is a new world and it wouldnt change unless we change so learn to accept it.
I have been to UAE and I do NOT like its government and people. I was there in 1999-2000 to teach a class which I decided not to teach. I left when I noticed they are using a wrong name for Persian Gulf.

There is dignity. There are Iranians who have NO dignity.

Iranians built UAE with money that took there. Iranian talents were used to make UAE what it is today.

I will NOT go to UAE. I am one of the few Iranians who has refused to fly with UAE airplanes even though they are cheaper or better than other airlines.

I protest using UAE facilities instead of Iranian facilities. Iranians who utilize UAE facilities under the wrong name of Persian Gulf have NO diginity.

Ok that's your viewpoint. Just the way Zoroastrians dissolved so will all these racial distinguishes of who built what and when. In the next 200 years if civilization continues to expand and interconnect like it is now...none of these stuff matters.

This is the last I will say about this topic.

***I really don't understand why all this Arab hate. Seriously most Persians I see in rl get along very well with Arabs. And in a crowd of other races usually Iranians and Arabs intermingle due to such a close similarity between us. Yes they "grassroll" or recruit "mercenaries" for their football team but are we not going to extend an arm and leave it at that? We got cheated off from wrestling and weightlifting by post soviet nations. Corruption exists everywhere and if Iran was in charge of AFC and had the money they would pretty much try to use their influence to their advantage.

Our anger comes from the fact that we are disappointed of how behind the Iranians are in some areas and want to blame our short comings on Arabs.
You are wrong on all the points you made.

Arabs were envious of Iran during Shah. Arabs criticized Iran and Iranians why Iran was close to the Western countries, especially USA.

UK stole Bahrain from Iran and now it has largest naval station in Bahrain.

I am not envious of Arabs and I had many of them in my classes. I consider them to be stupid and lazy people. Arabs have stolen Iranian heritage and call theirs including Persian Gulf.

Iran was Paris and the Middle East, so how ugly is today? UAE will be destroyed in given time if they choose to be independent.

I will not fly with UAE airlines. I will not go to UAE. I protest using any UAE facilities. Iranians are capable and have zillion of money to do anything better.

The location gives ONE choice. I do not live or work in ONE place. I am mostly in West Asia (40%), North America (20-25%) and South America (20%) and East Asia (5%) per year. Iran is located in West Asia. Middle East is a wrong term to use for where Iran is located.

I disagree with your statement. Esfahani folks are cheap in character while they accumulate wealth at the expense of lying and cheating others.
Asghar was in my program. I saw him at Mehrabad airport after 15 years being in the same program. We both were going to Isfahan from Tehran. I was invited and he was teaching at Isfahan University. Asghar was a crook who was living a good life and was married and had three children when I visited their house. He was a womanizer when he was a student in my program but his wife had chador and never came to sit with us. Lunch was Tas-Kabob which was Isfahani version. They insisted for me to stay. I left and headed out.

I am one of the few Iranians who has visited Isfahan more than others and I have a picture of me in Menar Jonban.

I lived in Isfahan and purchased various things in its Bazaar. I knew they were cheating me, made my point so that they did not think I was stupid.

I am against using UAE facilities for Iranian athletes. It makes us look stupid and dumb. Iran is a great country which has great people with ton of natural resources. Iran must have its own facilities and okay with me for others to utilize our facilities BUT not the other way around.

I am against using other facilities when Iran can have its own.

You sir are a racist bigot who took my sarcasm and did exactly what I was mocking. Painting a group of people with one brush due to your small mindedness attributed to your experiences with Asghar and a bazar.

By your logic all people from Semnan should be ridiculed since Ahmadinejad is from the province. Grow up.

You did not read the subject of this thread. I am correct on Isfahani people. I have more to share based on my experience with them. I lived in Isfahan and have visited that city many times before IRI and after IRI. My view of the people who I have run across is negative.

Well, you must be one unlucky guy! Because I've also lived in Esfahan, I have visited that city and know many Esfahanies! The truth about them in my view differs a lot from yours as I have found nothing but warm hearted, nice people there! You must have a big grudge to paint the people of a whole city the way you do. That's too bad!

I said: my view of the people who I have run across is negative. No doubt there are good people but not given the replies to my comment which is solely my experience.
