I believe CQ feels more comfortable not having the friendlies televised, this way his team's strategies and tactics for the upcoming match will not be exposed to the opponents, which is in a way a smart move.
In reality world power football nations such as Brazil, Germany, Spain, Argentina etc. would have love to make use of such luxury and play their friendlies behind closed doors, however their case is totally a different ball game, as such teams broadcast revenue from these friendlies is quite irresistible and hard to pass up. Whereas for a country like us where broadcast revenue generation means absolutely zilch, it only makes better sense not to televise them. Not to mention the intolerance and misconception of he football friendlies amongst our people...
Don’t want to bring this up, but this is just too hilarious! Usually people judge the teams/players by merely watching few "Highlights" instead of the full game - thinking that is enough and fair. BUT NOW we actually managed to hit a new low...this time there is not even a proper footage of the game, not even the line-up was clear, but we still see us judging, questioning and even crossing of players for the next game. All based on a damn meaningless TEST GAME (under heavy raining conditions) none of us even managed to see!! This is way toooo funny for me to ignore and not to bring up again lol.
