I specially think this guy is quite right:
He's good at heading, has a decent finish and presses but he doesn't have much pace and lacks technical ability. He looks very rawIf we do actually go for him I hope it's a summer move because he looks like he needs to play week in, week out right now.

I specially think this guy is quite right:
I'm sure if we all were non-Iranians and true Liverpool fans, we'd probably say the same about him!
we don't need any of these shitty players... liverpool should not release mane for african cup simple as thatIf LFC needed a statue with poor touch that was a good header, they would have kept Benteke.he is shite dont buy him LFC buy icardi from inter and he will be our next suarez

Originally posted by Sly View PostNo, but if you hadn't seen anything from him before and only see that video (for which the comments are for), you'd agree with them too. In the video, beside that goal, Azmoun didn't really play as a top European based player should!

Originally posted by Malavani View PostThat's the point. These fans are quick to judge and say a player is "shit" after only seing a single compil of ONE of the numerous games he played, which says a lot about them. And no, I wouldn't necessarily agree with these comments if Azmoun wasn't Iranian.
So calling him shit is one thing, but saying they don't need him is competently another.

England is a football Mad country(much more so than Iran), the game is like a religion to many folks there, perhaps even more important to most..!
hence their people get really involved in the game and in every lil aspect of their favorite clubs..!
so Shitt talk, ignorant fan remarks becomes more prevalent and unrealistic fan expectations from their new signings seem somewhat inevitable..!
besides if generalizing, by nature and seems like culture, British are some of the most depressingly negative, pessimistic , deceptively prejudice / self-righteous, arrogant folks, you'd ever get to know...!! especially their football fans...!
personally I dont take much offense to their ignorantly negative comments in context of the understanding of the above & depending of their club's situation..! besides i do love me some "Clever Sarcasm" be it even personally offensive, and these lot are the world masters of delivering such remarks on their football forums by the barrels daily..!!
from a pure football perspective BPL is a damn tough league to play in due to high physicality, fast speed of the game and high caliber of playing of often overly deep squads and the evenly spread strong teams throughout the league ...!
I'd love to have an iranian in BPL, so i can start to follow it more intently and closely again, havent really paid much attention to it since Ashkan's departure..!! very, very few iranians are cut out to make it in BPL and of all, none has shown me the potential for actual decent success in that league than Sardar...! it certainly isnt the best suited EU league for new talents to per say develop their game, but i believe Azmoun has already passed much of that stage ...!! he still may well not cut it at a huge club like LP, but if not, he can always be loaned off elsewhere in the league hopefully in a less high profile EPL team that can afford him more playing minutes..!
besides LP along with RM n BMunich were my childhood favorite clubs and it would be soweeeet to have an iranian getting me assimilated in to LP fan-base and the club again after few decades past..!

Hem... If the following news is true that would definitely put an end to Azmoun's chances of joining Liverpool (sad but true)

Theres a couple sides to this that we must consider.
Pros:
- Great exposure
- Quality manager to learn a lot under
- Very high quality league and opposition
- Quality team to work around/with
Cons:
- Very difficult to make the first team
- Might not get much playing time at all
- Will be put under a lot of pressure in the time that he does get
I personally would see this as a positive move. I would be very surprised if he jumped into getting regular first team time and play. If anything i'd expect him to only play in a handful of games the entire season, apart from the occasions when he gets subbed on for 15 mins or so. BUT one positive is that, like someone mentioned before, he could follow a path like Victor Moses and use his liverpool resume to loan onto other EPL teams that will give him more playing time and an opportunity to show himself and grow. He could transfer to a team like Sunderland or Leicester for a season or so and when his loan expires and he comes back, he might drop right into the starting lineup.
