We haven't lost a game yet. We haven't conceded a goal in 2016 yet.

In AFC's mind that equals ZERO nominations.

I remember in 2007 and before, we would actually look forward to real Player of the Year awards.

dirty arabs as usual. they can have their own f*king arab awards and give each other everything.

they can make an own continent and be as corrupted as they want.

I hope one day all arab countries leaves Asia

Calm down and chill people. Player of the year is only for those playing inside Asia. There is a separate category for best Asian legionnaire player. We will also win the best futsal team and player awards.

No offence, but have some of you guys only just started following asian/iranian football?

This isn't exactly a surprise. AFC player of the year has been intracontinental for pretty much a decade now, so Sardar would never have been eligible (nor Okazaki or Son).

I am actually happy they didn't pick any Iranian players. Screw the AFC and their corrupt ways. What would have been extremely pleasing if they nominated one of our players and the said player turned them down because of their horrible bias toward Iran.

Maybe because this is AFC (ASIAN) coach of the year and not European coach of the year working in Asia?!

Also I don't think they select the AFC player of the year, based on only 1 CL game! They look at the whole year and the impact the player actually had for his team!

That said, if we continue the same way we have in the WCQ games and our Europeans based players continue their good form in their clubs, I think we will have nominees next year!

                Who cares.

While the AFC is handing out cookies and candies to these random players and teams, Iran is winning left and right, building the strongest Asian team that is becoming noticed in the rest of the world, and sitting comfortably at the top of Asian ranking.

Let them enjoy their kid's party. Let them give Qatar's association the ''Dream Asia award''. Because that is exactly what it is for them... a dream. Not a reality.

We will talk on the pitch.

                    Ahh.... Oh well.
The majority of commentators in this thread are NOT happy with AFC and Arab countries and have used several derogatory terms against both of these groups.

Boycotting AFC is a start. Joining countries that respect Iran's heritage and players, coaches, etc., will be another step.

I think the list is not complete because it used to include Futsal and Beach soccer.

I agree let us compete on the field. AFC awards have less importance these days as they used to.

Furthermore, Iran must have representative at all levels to get something; do not expect other countries to give something to others.

Ahh.... Oh well, now you know when I say do NOT cooperate with countries (Arab or non-Arab) which do not respect our heritage, I have the above reasons.

I would tell AFC, Persian Gulf forever and walk out of the meeting.

What else to do to get an award?????????????

Apparently, IFF President, Taj signing an agreement with UAE football Association to train their futsal and Beach soccer players for using their good facility did not help. Or maybe IFF should have used UAE facilities earlier (2015) to get an Award??????????????

The accomplishments that you listed are great. Arabs and many non-Arab countries are envious of Iran's accomplishments.

IFF must NOT cooperate with any country and Associations that do not respect Iran's heritage and do not treat Iranian coaches and players fairly.

Iran must NOT use UAE facilities unless they respect Iran's heritage, for example, they must call Persian Gulf by its correct term.

4 new category nominees are out. Iran has all 3 nominations in best Futsal player of the year, but no nominees in the best male and female young player.

Also Sardar is not nominated for the best Asian player playing outside Asia. The nominees are
                            -Son
                            -Kagawa
                            -Okazaki
