But he will definitely quit after the Asian Cup.
I'm also pretty sure he will stay, it's 6 months after, makes no sense to leave, and IFF will never find a coach able to succeed at the Asian Cup during such short time. After that, I also think he will leave. Of course, I hope he will never leave.

It seems rational for him (and for us) to leave after 8-9 years. He'd need new challenges and we'd need fresh thinking and attitude to refine us further.

        Good luck to him anyway

I would be surprised if he stays. I don't think a tenure this long is common for a football coach.

by all means have him stay as long as he can put up with all the bs. 8-9 yrs whatever, if he's successful and wants to stay, definitely have him stay. the more he's around our football the better it has gotten

            the man is a legend

I predict that he will retire from football after the WC

I only see two things happening - either he will retire from football altogether or he will get a big offer from a big european team. no shot he will stay after all the sh!t he has had to deal with
                Team Meli Iran
                Perspolis FC
                Malavan Bandar Anzali

i know he will leave, however we are in are golden age of football, and i believe when CQ leave, we will have a decline, can the new coach be strong like CQ, and fight iranian mafia players, players like rahamti who were shown have no place in iran football by CQ, while people like branko could not leave ali daei out of TM. i juST dont know if the new coach can do it

                      Why wouldn't he
His contact will be up & he has achieved everything expected of him & thensome..!

Besides who'd wanna work for free & be forced to beg for his paycheck every few months..! Top that with a bunch of idiots constantly criticizing & questioning his judgement.

well I guess he will stay until AC'19, he will win the f.... trophy together with Team Melli and then he can finally say: "mission accomplished"
                        TEAM MELLI UNTIL THE END

It would be an amazing ending for him if he retires after winning the Asian cup with us.

                              Edited: maybe a year.

I think he will stick out another 6 months for the Asian Cup and then call it quits, but if he did leave after world cup I wouldn't be surprised. After what this man has done for our football he is entitled to leave when ever he wishes.
