Like everyone else here I badly wanted TM to get all 3 points from this match but half way through the game seeing how dreadful the pitch is and having a goalkeeper with hardly any caps, I was content on getting the One point and leaving the pitch with no injuries.

Might I remind everyone we are still in great shape and On Course for qualification. We have 11 points and 3 of our next 5 games are at home. By comparison, Korea and Uzbekistan have 10 and 9 points respectively but both have only 2 home games left.

There are two points I'm this whole discussion:
-Game should have been called off because of concern for player safety.
      - Arab / Persian bad blood is not going to change. It is over 1300 years old and has got worse
A million man fell on the ground when the last Arab nation invades our country. So stop to characterize this as a racist or hatred towards a group of people

heh. I guess behaving this way makes them feel more intellectual. okey ppl !!

look, we all know we had somethings in our hands and we didnt make full use of it (altho there arent that many items). But that doesnt change the fact that Iran has been the victim of DISPROPORTIONATE amount of wrong decisions by AFC.
Some of us just have differing opinions.

The point of a discussion is to discuss them. I am not dishing out insults left and right or being sarcastic.

Keyword INVADE. And to this point they act as if Iranians started the war. BTW Iraq and Iran never signed a peace treaty, just a cease fire. Improving relations between Arab / Persians is a two way street my good sir, both sides have to play ball. From where I stand, Arabs clearly don't want to improve relations but impose their agenda on Iran and Iranians.

TM needs 9-10 points from the next 5 WCQ games to go directly to Russia

HOPEFULLY some of you will agree with this.

I agree after reading the comments, I was living in a bubble. Football is unfair, AFC has some biases, and the ref of this match certainly had a hidden agenda. He was Arab as well, and yes from the past posts, there has been a bitterness between the two cultures of 1300 years. Then the "Arab rolling like a donkey" that is all apparent of the quality of players..

I am sorry guys. I was wrong. I will be a filthy Arab hater just like every Persian out there and spread hate no matter what. Because in the end, if you get rid of the BS, the generations of hate toward Arabs, YES WE ARE ALL PEOPLE. that "Arab" ref prob was destroyed by a bunch of Arab hating Persians at some point in his life to have such a strong bias towards Persians. Because of people who love spreading the hate, that feeds the fire, and the everlasting Arab bashing and unfair calls against Persians persist.

                  This game proves 2 things:
                  1) No matter what we are all gonna hate Arabs, no matter what.
                  2) Because of this hate, we will also be punished from the counter hate of Arabs to Persians.
                  3) For the next 1000 years, get ready to have your great grand grand grand kids hate Arabs and get pissed

                  Unless we stop the hate.

Just a thought! Could this be the result of Ashura events?
It seems that IFF is not going to complain maybe because
                          that subject can come up.

Yes AFC and referee screwed up big time and it happens more often to us but to judge a whole population of Arabs (422 million people) based on a corrupt organization and stupid football players is very ignorant.

This kinda mentality is no different than ignorant americans hating on Iranian people because of wrong doing of our government and vice versa.

There's no doubt that the game should have been postponed or they should have chosen a better stadium but still to say F*** all arabs is unacceptable.

You really need to study more history, try to see more people from and live / visit in countries lika KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and UAE specifically to understand why this hate exists. I wouldn't call it a counter hate from Arabs, it's the other way around.

I personally don't consider Iraqis Egyptians and Lebanese the same the above. If you had arab friends you would know that even arabic people from other countries don't like them because of the majority culture that exists in those countries.

Secondly, you need to watch the game and see the way the syrians were wasting time to understand why people are stereotypically calling them filthy and shit like that. I'm sure people on this board don't hate all arabs in general, but the ones that act like the stereotypical type that we have had a bad history with, whether in soccer games or throughout history.

The hate mainly comes from how unsportsmanlike they are at least in football. Their diving, cheating, and etc. It's just pathetic. I've never actually seen Iraqis take part in antics like that but they make that up by playing over aged players in youth teams. Aside from a few minor examples though, we don't do crap like that even against the big teams so that's why we get irritated by them here.
