1- not going to waste time explaining things to pandora, since he's not making sense. He's just arguing silly and nonsensical stuff now
2- Bihonar jan,
A) I actually think CQ did the right thing by using more physical or tall players that suits a game that's going to be played in the air and lots of fights between players for the ball. Hence the taller, more physical Ansarifard (seems Greece has really manned him up ... finally ) instead of RGN. Or Taromi instead of Amiri.
I assume his strategy was to bring in the pacy players late so the defenders would have been exhausted and maybe the ground drier.
I call that sound tactics & strategy
B) I'm not sure who first proposes the venues in such situations; AFC or the hosts. But we can all agree wheoever did pick this venue (certainly with an agenda of ruining our play), it WAS AFC's duty to rule it out due to many infringements of AFC's own laws.
The very fact that AFC saw no problem with it, despite having far FAR better alternatives, should tell us something
3- On the grass rolling donkey
notice how he rolls about and after seeing he's outside the touchline and that the ref may actually let the game proceed, he jumps up, takes two steps inside and then flops and rolls on the ground as if hit by a freaking RPG ... all for the express reason of stopping the game (not attending to his "injury")!! Typical arab behavior.
f**king moron!

The bold part is the only thing I have and am taking issue with DD jaan... this is not about OUR play... as I said before the stadium was picked by Syria FA to give as much advantage to Syria as possible based on their style of play.
This will apply to all of Syria's opponents equally - Korea played in the exact the same stadium and it is very likely all of Syria's other 3 opponents will play in the same stadium as well.
And again as I said in that last post, there's nothing sinister about Syrian FA being smart to pick a stadium that gives them an advantage... every association does the same thing and if they don't (as has been the case with the Canadian Soccer Association before picking venues where large expat populations of the opposing teams reside) it's plain old stupid.
People should pay attention to this photo. Do you see how in terrential rain there is still NO mud and the pitch is flat?
That is the difference between a pitch with drainage and one that is just a grazing ground for cows...
My good man, please tell me you're not seriously comparing a stadium picked for the Euro finals (i.e. the best of the best) with a stadium in lowly Malaysia?
Nevermind Malaysia, do you actually think Azadi's pitch or the pitch of any other stadium in Iran would look like this picture after a torrential rainfall?
Every grass pitch has "drainage" unless you lay sod right on top of concrete or impermeable rocks in which case the grass would die within a few days. What differs is the degree of drainage and the level of technology used...
On that note, you're comparing a stadium in Europe that was less than 3 years old when this picture was taken (with the latest technology) to a stadium in Asia that's more than two decades old... apples and oranges my friend.
Don't get me wrong and I keep repeating this: based on the pitch conditions yesterday, the match should have been postponed or better yet rescheduled to another day. But that decision lied solely with the referee and it has nothing to do with AFC, the stadium or the Syrian FA.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the stadium (beyond typical crappy Asian stadiums) had it not been for the rain... the pitch is not the greatest, but tell me you haven't seen MUCH worse in Asia (this is what the pitch looked like in the same stadium without torrential rain right before the match):
Syrian should have chosen their home games in UAE or Qatar. It makes much more sense. It's closer to them. They have a lot more syrian living there plus they have very decent stadiums and pitches.
Sorry, but once again we see few people living in their "pink" world - thinking the world is fair and everybody loves each other Anyone who has been following TM and Asian football knows that these things are not just coincidence or bad luck - you are fooling yourself if you don’t see how all this more or less was planned by the AFC months ago.
This time around however Iran is so strong that only installing a biased referee was not enough, they had to come up with more - and congratulation, they managed to do so. If you still have doubts and ignorantly call it conspiracy theory then ask yourself why is it that we ALWAYS face these kind of problems every time when we play ARAB teams? Don’t you see the pattern? It’s not the first time, not the second time, not the third time....it’s been happening for uncountable YEARS. How long has this to continue for some of you to WAKE UP and smell the corruption?
CQ is damn right. We can be proud of our players that despite such horrible mud field and dirty arab time wasting and overall non-football conditions....we actually still managed to score and had won the game with fair referring. Great fight and dedication right here!
Probably the first TM match where we can’t discuss players and tactics as it would be nonsense to do so considering the conditions. Not even Barcelona could have played their game on that mud field. I bet Malavan with Mayeli would beat the best teams of the world on that field lol, they are used to do it. Actually this is the first time I was wishing for some shitty Iranian coach to lead TM. They would have known how to "bezan ziresh". This time Mayeli has all the right to criticize CQ and tell him what he did wrong

i think the main reason they choose malaysia is because is free, also countries like uae and qatar dont support syrian regime, hence i think they dont want to host them, since technically the national team is the one represented by assad regime

To make it brief:
I agree with everyone's arguments about the field and the conditions this game was played in. AFC made a terrible call allowing this game to take place, it should have been postponed to atleast today to assess the damage. There was no way anyone was scoring in that game, other than through pure luck. We are so lucky we didn't lose. Forget possession, no one could run and Syria had a couple of break aways that was squandered because they are terrible on attack.
Make no mistake, Syria came to win a point, and that is what a country in their position would do. They would do anything to get that point, grassroll, get on our players nerves, defend with 10 players, etc.
They didn't pick the field, they didn't pick the referee. AFC did.
Many of you are asking why Syria's games arent hosted in the UAE or Qatar. It is because these "arab" federations were not ready to host the "Syrian National Team" because they do not recognize it being "Syria's team" due to the current civil war there.
Iran offered to host the games, but for obvious reasons (Iran being in the group), this couldn't happen. Macau was the first country to offer hosting privileges to Syria, then it was deemed that Malaysia would be next.
AFC chose Malaysia, AFC chose this shitty substandard field, AFC chose the match commissioner that should have delayed the game. This is a fail on the part of AFC ......
BUT, and a huge BUT--- this does not mean that AFC is indicatively biased against Iran.
Do you know how many times Nishimura (AFC appointed referee) screwed Saudi Arabia? Champions league final, WCQ 2014 against Iraq etc...
AFC agreed to move Saudi Arabia's home game against Iraq to neutral venue because Iraq had to play outside Iran(its home stadium).
AFC sanctioned the Qatari's ten times worse than us, AbdulKareem Hassan (their best player) suspended 3 games... and three other main players suspended 2 games.
People must stay realistic, this is the level of Asia. AFC is made up of a bunch of incompetent glorified executives who, like Kaffashian, have no sense of organization. However, it is not against Iran explicitly, it is against the entire continent.
BOTTOM LINE: WE ARE LUCKY WE DID NOT LOSE THIS GAME. AFTER MY EMOTIONS HAVE SUBSIDED, I AM HAPPY WITH THIS POINT AND NO INJURES. WE HAVE 5 GAMES LEFT, 3 AT HOME, 2 AWAY AND WE ARE CURRENTLY ON TOP. WE NEED 8 POINTS TO BE ALMOST GUARANTEED OF A WCQ SPOT. LET'S GET PAST THIS AND FINISH THIS OFF.

Sorry, but you're wrong. It's an AFC conspiracy and you obviously don't care about TM or you would be as paranoid and irrational as the rest of us.
Did the tackle on Amiri deserve a yellow card? Was the theatrics he performed a ploy to foo the ref to avoid the second yellow? If so, the Syrians would have been reduced to 10. Excuse me if you see this post twice; I can't find my first posting.
This game indeed didn't have any technical discussion to talk about, we could have struggled against Bangladesh in such a field but as much as i like CQ i didn't like his line up against a team such as Syria. Few concerns for me was:
1) What was the point to play with two pure defensive midfielders against 3rd rated or at best 2nd rated Asian side? He could have started Saeid next to Masoud instead. Masoud ability with ball even in such a pity field could get us a penalty or some free kicks outside the box.
2) Again with only one target forward!!
3) and worst it was bringing in Pourghaz while we had much much better offensive players in squad.

We scored a legit goal that wrongfully was called offside + Jahanbakhsh missed a sitter & had another great chance the GK saved. Their #15 could have been sent off.....You call all that "lucky" - really?
AFC is led by arabs and mainly supports the interests of the arab world. Do you seriously want to deny that the arab world are not against Iran and Iranians? After all these scandals against Iran - national teams, club teams, youth teams....or other sports, olympic athletes...let's not even talk about political/history issues...
Your comments remind me of Beckenbauer denying corruption, claiming things like there are no slaves in Qatar because he didn’t see one
Of course there have been games we might have benefited and of course there have been games were arabs did not benefit...but if you look at the whole picture you will easily see the obvious corruption and anti-Iranian attitude of the AFC throughout all the years. This is has nothing to do with us being racist, emotional or because we want to blame things on others.
This was not the first time and FOR SURE won't be the last time. Can't wait what you say next time to defend them

We basically have fans here who are a discussion forum who want other fans to shut up and not complain.
We are all aware that our complaints will fall on deaf ears - but don't try to insult people into saying things are great and fair and level for everyone. They're not.
