To those arguing that it wasn't a penalty: if it wasn't a penalty--and I believe it was a clear one--the question is, why didn't he give the player a yellow for simulation? That's the talking point here. Also, he refused to ask for VAR, which raises a big talking point. As much as I like him, he had quite a poor game and missed a couple of pretty hideous fouls along the way. This doesn't take anything away from him being a good referee.Comment
