Without offense to PP fans, I didn't think PP played all too great and Lekhwiya isn't as good as they were advertised. Teams like Al Ain and Hilal are much better. PP needs to dump off Ahmadizadeh and get another striker then they might have a chance.

Al Hilal scored the 2nd. A shame.

Esteghlal Khuzestan did well to even get this far. I won't be surprised if they're dissolved or relegated next season.

Game over for SS Khuzestan unfortunately. They were absolutely remarkable considering their situation, made it out of the group and as a midtable team made it very tough for Al Hilal, the best team in Saudi.

        Kudos to them

I don't know why you can't ever keep your arguments football related instead of accusing people of being SS fans or 12 year olds.
Yes, I am a former SS fan but I always put Iran first and look at the game in the big picture with no bias.

Esteghlal Khuzestan is out, all our hopes are on Perspolis now to go all the way in the ACL.

Best case scenario for Perspolis would be to get drawn with Al Ahli instead of Al Ain/Hilal

Congrats to PP, and well done to SS Khuzestan who made it this far with absolutely nothing but heart and soul. They exceeded expectations and I for one am happy with them.

This team could very realistically not even exist in a few years.

I want to say that Mohammad Ansari is 100% TM material, his composure and focus over every match is top notch. He is often not mentioned and I think he's very underrated, to me he'd be a much better and younger alternative to Pourghaz as a replacement in case of injury to our CBs.

Crazy to think he was playing in 3rd division 2 seasons ago. Very talented defender

in an empty stadium a goalkeeper has a better chance to save the shot. so AFC tried its best to ruin chances for perspolis

I was gonna post the same thing

You can just tell how comfortable and confident Ansari is on the field. Etemaad be nafs e khoobi dare. Not to mention that he's technically talented and a good defender. He will definitely come in handy as a backup or a possible starter in Team Melli. He's great.

Congratulations to Persepolis fans and to all Iranians!

I want Persepolis to play Al Ain in the quarter-finals. They will have a lot of motivation playing against Al Ain considering what happened to Esteghlal and they would go in to eliminate them. Beating Al Ain would also be a source of korkori for Persepolis.

I also want Al Ain because they are a strong side, let's not fool ourselves. It'll be a good test for Persepolis to see if they are deserving of a place in the semi-finals.
