He's a hero. He was one before too. He's never stopped.

He was also supporting the green movement with green tape in the game vs. South Korea during election fraud protests.

Shojaei has always been one of my favorite TM players - so underrated and under-appreciated by us fans.

standing up for the rights of women? criticizing the system?
Hellooooo. I dont give a f**K if he has 32 turnovers in a game. NOW I demand him to be in TM as long as he wants to and is possible.

Balls the size of motherf**king khamenei and his toole sags' heads all combined.

        Shojaei for TM, forever

Besides, if you listen to the interview when he says system, he says "Systeme footballe ma" - that minor difference is what won't get him in trouble probably.
Like who? Do you have links or videos? I'd be curious to listen to those as well.

I think Shojaei will have to retire in Europe now. What an outstanding character. His comments bring tears to my eyes. I know other footballers in Iran share the same thoughts, but won't speak out due to fear of the IR.

I always loved him and will continue to do so. He is the most underappreciated Iranian player of the last years and it’s an absolute shame how we treated him! We do not deserve soldiers like Shojaei! He fought 4 surgeries and never gave up. Was willing to play in Segunda division, continued his career in Europe back then and even now he is still trying his best there, despite being close to his retirement. He looks to be the friendliest and classiest TM player, so down to earth and brave. Shojaei represents what "ba gheyrat", "mardomi" and khaaki" mean. Truly a legend

He also spent his recovery time becoming fluent in Spanish. The guy speaks it flawlessly. He did everything right in his career, stayed humble, never gave up. He is a true leader for what Iranian soccer players should strive for.

He says what most Iranian football fan would say. His criticism of IFF and whole corrupted Football system in Iran is accurate. His dismay goes beyond IFF and aim at IRI for restricting women entering stadiums and more , right as well.
I was against his political demonstration wearing green wrist band during South Korean game because it affected a game, but this time he picked up a good format and timing to express his dismay and I am glad he did.

He never criticized the regim, he only talked about the corrupt system of football in Iran and he never named or singeled out a single person by name.
He is way smarter than that !!!

lol at you guys remove the name of the thread or he might get kicked out of team melli. You cowards are the reason the Islamic Republic will never leave. Critizing the IFF is like critizing the IR because the IFF is just a sport federation in controll of IR

The reason are opportunistic people that the IRI is still in place. That people r making a mockery out of Shojaei, who actually seems to know what he is doing. He had a great TM career and is using his stand against the injustice now. Thats called: Integrity.
