    Prospects

Who are the young Iranian players who look bang on to get at least 30 caps for Team Melli in the future? Players like Torabi, Taremi, Pouraliganji, Ezzatolahi, obviously Azmoun, and possibly those two kids the guardian rated (Shekari and Soltani Mehr).

I remember people talking an awful lot about players like Sharifi, Sadeghian, Kaveh Rezaei, Mosalman, Yaghoub Karimi, Khanzadeh, Khalilzadeh, but in terms of TM potential those careers look dead. Kanaani may make the grade, Chesmi looks another dead man walking.

Who is looking class? How are Shojaeian, Alipour, Pahlevan, Tabrizi, Mahini etc doing?

Sadeghian and KAveh Rezaei could have been great players but yeah. sad story to see that u-17 world cup stars turn in to mediocre players in IPL.

          and you also forgot Jahanbakhsh!

but I've said it before and say it again, both Tabrizi and Rashid Mazaheri of Zobahan should not just be invited to TM! They should play!

Shariati can easily be one of Irans best defenders if he goes to Europe early and really works on his overall game.

Ive been meaning to make a thread like this myself.
Milad Mohammadi (23) has been nominated best left back in RPL. His team is 4th place. He has made 4 assists (tied for third in the league) and is lightning quick ( bellerin level), pinpoint crosses, and dependable defensively. In terms of improvements he could become better in possession, playing simple at times. Positioning, heading as well. But his pace bails him out if he fucks up at times. Given that he plays the entirety of every game, he will soon iron out these little details in his game. Definitely can play for top top teams. Gained individual praise as well from famous zenit coach lucescu after the game in which he made an assist in tereks win. (he said MiMO was a future star). Our left back for the next ten years has been found.
              Mehrdad Mohammadi (23)
Milads brother. He plays LW/FW. Similar to milad in his extreme pace and direct style. A good finisher as well. Both were in Rah Ahan together, now mehrdad plays for sepahan and is recently in a very good run of form. He, according to multiple team mates, desperately wants to go to europe as well. Im sure he will soon. Given our LW situation in TM is not clear, he could be a potential future solution
              Ehsan Pahlevan (23)

extremeley talented attacking mid/winger for Zob ahan. in an amazingly rich vain of form recently. Easily can go to europe in the near future. Hope he leaves within the next year.
              Mehdi Torabi (22)
winger/attacking mid for saipa. Scored against Japan in the tie in Azadi. Has a clause in his contract that allows him to be sold to europe easily. Saipa reps have said they will help him get there. Another we could see in europe within a year.
              Mohsen Karimi (21)
attacking mid / winger for SS. Has a lot of potential, but needs to get out of SS quickly if that potential is to be realized.
              Morteza Tabrizi (25)
Another guy in Zob. Best CAM, traditional number 10, in iran-hands down, currently. At this point, he is 25 so not really a prospect anymore per se.
Ali Karimi ( Dinamo Zagreb) (22)
Deep lying , possession keeping player, with great physique as well. Has made it to europe and mainly played for Zagrebs second team thus far with two appearances for their senior team, including one start. This is his first season in europe and he just came from sepahan, so a long adjustment time should be expected. He seems to bedding in well with their team though (from social media posts, etc). A midifield axis of him and ezzatolahi in the future would really be something, as they are both physical beasts. Ezzatolahi is more box to box/attacking so the partnership has the potential to very well. Additionally we could play both of them and hajsafi in the midfield, and that would midfield would be very able at keeping possession, and few teams could ever power through it. The fact that he is in europe for me makes his situation very sure, he will progress quickly in the best possible environment.
Danial esmailifar, shekari, soltanimehr, shariati, sharifi,an d samizadeh are the others that seem that could be in the TM pipeline. All very talented.
overall so many talents. The key is them getting to europe ASAP.

In other words, times are good for Irans youth and future. However I believe we need Carlos Querioz as our head coach for one more year, at least, after the 2018 World Cup.

Alipour started to shine last season but after he married and became a father he has lost focus.

                    Prospects

The biggest prospect in Iranian football will most likely be Mohammad Sharifi.

At his age (16 or 17), he has perfected the art of being a complete midfielder, who can both attack and defend exceptionally.

I would be suprised if he didn't get scouted to some big academy in Europe during the U-17 World Cup next year.

that Shekari kid looks a damn solid prospect to me..!!
ive only seen him in action twice or so..but his Game was smooth as a modafkr and mature well beyond his age..!!
apparently some questions seem to be surrounding his attitude though..!!?
came across to me just a lil koongoshaad ? not necessarily arrogant, definitely sorta privileged ..!
you could tell he knows he is better than most all his current age-group's competition..!
