actually great news that he made the bench after not being in the squad in the first game. He just played in the league game because the starting striker was being rested. But as Karim played really well, he couldnt be left out completely out of the 18 player team..so lets see if he gets in and if he can maybe even score

thats okay. Karim can still get minutes off the bench. They are in three comps including Champions league . he can fulfill life long goal of playing in that comp and battle it out with Ben for starting spot. It will ensure he is in top form TM as well.

I think the issue is just tactical. The new coach wants a player who is better at running in the channels and onto through balls. Even though karim is mobile and definitely not slow, he is not as pacy and agile as ben who was until recently a goal scoring winger. Karim is an excellent plan b for them to go more direct, with crosses, etc. Plus his latest performance probably bumped him up to number 2, especially with emenike out for a while. He will get his chance. All it takes is for Kos to be behind in a game and he will come on

They will need a 3 striker rotation to avoid injuries playing both regular season, cup, and champions league. Emenike will likely sit out most of the season injured as he is geriatric at this point. Even if he does play, I think the team will be brought down to earth quickly on how bad he really is at this point (he'll still be given multiple chances by the coach, unlike Karim). Karim will find his way into a rotation spot. That is good for him. Playing league and cup matches on rotation, he will be an important part of the team. Not all of our players can be out and out starters on Champions League teams. Him being an important role player this season will be good for him, in my opinion
