Karim Ansarifard @ Olympiacos C.F.P. | 2016 - 2017

Karim is a lovable guy and he is a good teammate but people should realize we are talking about Iran's 4th choice of striker(or maybe soon 5th with the way Kaveh is playing or if you add Ghoddos as striker maybe 6th), yes everyone like to see him start but lets not forget he also struggled in Osasuna, and Greece league may suck but Olympiacos is a traditional team which is constantly play in CL. So maybe people asking too much for a player who is TM 4th or 5th or 6th choice of striker. Having said that Karim was very impressive in his early days, he played his first games for TM around the age of 19-20, played in Asian Cup as starter around the age of 21-22 and during those dark years of our football and with his early progress i was hoping to see him in a better league but somehow that progress stopped.

He may not be our first choice, but certainly has an equal chance compared to Kaveh or Saman, if not better. He has already proven himself every time given an opportunity both at club and NT level. Karim is very professional and devoted to the spirit of the team which is a huge factor in CQs eyes. Hopefully if he gets more playing time under the new coach, he will remain a reliable back-up for Sardar or Gucci.

Anyhow, it's great to see that we have all these options upfront with a diverse range of style and skills.

i mean when he has service for Kos he usually does very well. Im thinking games when he first game in january, those two clutch goals away in turkey to get them into europa league QF , clutch goals in the cup, and a couple game winners in the league.

Also his link up play and technical ability is probably better than somebody like Gucci. The cross he had for cambiasso against besiktas that saw them take an early lead in the EL QF , the beautiful back heel this season. I think that the new coach likes him, and with not being involved in CL, will make sure to involve him in league.

He wasn't played because he's not in the CL squad so he'll miss the entire group stage. It's already been mentioned here too and still some members think he'll play in Europe before January.
