Also Zandi had the same scenario. Played in Bundensliga until 2005 when he started to play for team melli. After that he did 1 year in Bundensliga 2, 3 years in Cyprus and after in Iran.
I wish this weren't true, but there is no actual player that has improved career wise after choosing to play for team melli.
So far it's 3/3 with players declining right after choosing to play for Team Melli.
And you think your correlative observations equal causative facts?

His positioning is going to come down to CQ's tactics. But he's definitely not a gauranteed starter. The only guaranteed starter in our midfield is Jahanbakshsh.. or Taremi

Would take Mandzukic over Gomez any day! He was a beast and true fighter at his peak - scored in CL final too. The only reason why he didn’t stay longer in Bayern is because he had no chance against Lewandowski.Formerly known as Persianking!

They have known each other for a long time, and also played against each other back in the day when Dejagah was beasting for Wolfsburg. Nouri is well aware of his quality when in form, and his team could probably use another winger/midfielder for some additional depth. Plus, after the job he's done coaching that team this year, I think it's safe to say he will have a very significant role in their player personnel decisions from here on out.
I thought this was particularly interesting:
https://twitter.com/FootballPersian/...86991344578560
And notice how he specifically mentions Ashkan without being asked about him directly stating that he hasn't yet his peak form after the injury, and then suggests the possibility of Iranian players being added to the Werder Bremen squad for next season between 16:30 - 18:00 in the video. Now does any of this mean this is a likely scenario for Dejagah? No. But with Gnabry's move to Bayern Munich, coupled with Nouri's visit to Iran and recent comments, anybody here still want to tell me that that Dejagah to Werder Bremen isn't a legitimate possibility?

^its definitely a Possibility, it always was and perhaps a stronger possibility than to other BLiga teams due to the Nouri/Iran connection.
nevertheless, the real answer lies with knowing just how much influence Nouri possess in Werder's recruiting process..??
the logical process would be to let the Coach choose the players that best suit his intended tactics, yet not many European Club's Recruiting depts. are ran that way and most transfers require the Nod from multiple folks in their organization ..!!
Nouri barely managed to retain his own employment by the club last year...!! not so sure he has too much say in their recruiting process..?? perhaps someone more familiar with how that club is ran could answer that for us.?
