If he can't find a club in Europe he should join Perspolis, with his help i think Perspolis actually has a decent shot at winning the Champions League, if he does not find a club then he can kiss the world cup goodbye. With Shojaei, Rafieie, Ghoddos and Shekari we are good at the CAM position

I think he doesn't want to find a club so soon so he can spend more time with his family.

I dont think we should call him up if he stays without a club for a whole season I mean he will completely be without practical experience except for TM. But I still have hope he pulls a surprise transfer in the next week's.

As asinine as this sounds, there is no way you can exclude him from the team. He is literally our best and most consistent player.

true, he certainly was in at least 3 outa last 5 wcqs..! (certainly the last 2) and even when he isnt having purticularly great game, he still gives nothing less than 100% while on the pitch..!! and no matter who we play, the opposition seems to be purticularly weary of his presence and focused on stopping him by double and triple-teaming more so than pretty much all other TM players (except maybe sardar..!!? )

besides, he has durability issues and seems awful injury-prone (probably a big reason why he is still left unemployed..!?) sometimes too much involvement in a competitive situation could well lead to his injury and him missing vital games for TM..!!

I also used to be very critical of his recent kiri club choices and situation but everytime he puts on the TM shirt makes me rethink my earlier assessments

Looking at his instagram, he seems to really enjoy spending time with his daughters (naturally) - that's hard to give up but it should cost him a place in TM if he wants to take this route.

he said he would announce his team shortly. I dont why we think he is going to spend a year without a team. He is a top professional and knows he needs to make a good choice, and said since he is a free agent he will take his time to make the right move. With hamburg out of the window, I really wouldnt be surprised if he ends up in england with fulham or leeds.

Would be so great for us. I would always be against him joining a club team in Iran, but if Europe doesn't work out it is his best option. But I dont think we can afford him. He would help us so much though lol, and the jersey would look unreal with his name on the back

I believe at this stage of his career he suits perfectly in a top tier team in Holland or Belgium! Being less physical and definitely with his speed and explosiveness he can shine there.

It is sad to watch one of TM best players not finding a club...he sure needs to work on his stamina...he is spending more time with his kids right now which is great but buddy in 4 years you can do that for the rest of your life...i don't understand why there isn't any urgency....he needs to hurry up cause we sure need a healthy sharp Ashkan for WC

I feel like he's saving up energy for the final mission of his career, and that's the World Cup next year. It looks like he will probably retire next summer. At this point I don't care anymore since he is giving everything for TM, he's almost done anyways. I hope he continues to play like the last game against Syria

He's only 31... Sure he may never be a 90 minute player again, but he can still be an effective player off the bench for many decent clubs for years to come.
We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.

Dejagah was the best player on the field against Syria as all pundits after the game said. Please stop with this "he should come off the bench" bs. Because right now he's a starter and if he keeps performing the way he did a couple weeks ago, then he will start in the world cup as well.
