Btw Mansourian got it all right tactically since the start of the match (even if SS would have lost on PKs). This very young SS outplayed Al Sadd with half Qatar NT, Xavi, PAG during 120 min. They were just too wasteful in front of goal

Both Ebrahimi and Noorafkan (19 years old! A gem) had Xavi in their back pockets big time

Yes, and he also had a good game overall.

I can't believe we actually kept a clean sheet for 120 minutes against one of the most scoring teams in Qatar.

Both Padovani and Robson were great today, especially Padovani who was a beast! He played his best match so far for us at exactly the best moment possible!
Persian Pride running through my veins!

        Esteghlal for life!!

Guys let's waste even more money on old players who are looking to relax - I'm sure it'll mean success.

Anyways, this was a good win for Esteghlal. Hopefully they come to the derby tired .

Thank you. Don't really like the drama that surrounds him, but he is for sure a good goalie. Too bad none of our current goalies in TM can save a PK. If only Haghighi had saved 1 in the AFC 2015.

Esteghlal has still long way to go, not much impressed by Haghdoust and Zakipour, i thought Barzay also had a poor game.

What happened to Jaber Ansari? He was good for them.

btw, i thought Xaxi had a strong game, he was all over, i also liked the kid Nourafkan's game.

Persepolis will win the Derby. Persepolis would have most likely beat this Al-Sadd team in regular time.

Jaber Ansari was injured, both Haghdoost and Zakipour were the weak links for sure, even predictable before the match started. They barely experienced the IPL and are just 20 years old. But Barzai on the other hand I'd say he had a pretty solid game, he hustled a lot and helped the defense regularly, he caused many problems to the Qatar NT left back.

Xavi usually dominates the pitch easily in the Qatari league, today he was completely neutralized by SS, looked constantly frustrated and the only danger coming from his play was his long shot in the 1st half. Overall considering all the young players SS fielded they had a really good game and didn't leave any clear chance to Al-Sadd who looked toothless for 120 min (Padovani and Robson were great too)

You can tell AFC was pissed about the game. They showed none of the misses and none of the actual dangerous chances Esteghlal had or any of the fouls.

                              Lol.

Exactly what I thought when I watched it as well. We had a flury of chances in the first half & beginning of extra time that they didn't show.
