Those are all good things that have been experimented before (maybe besides azmoun as second striker) and they could all realistically happen. Between Amiri and Taremi, one of them are bound to start on the wing.

In case you didn't know: Syria moved their venue to another stadium in Malaysia. No surprise of course.

CQs reason why we played Iraq instead of Australia: "It is a matter of curiosity that since Australia joined the Asian Football Confederation in 2006 it has never faced Iran, in a fixture of any kind either competitive or friendly, though there have been meetings in FIFA World Cup play-offs in the past. “We made a couple of attempts to arrange a game with Australia,” revealed Queiroz.
“It is not easy however. The problem is that Australia plans its national team games long in advance. In this part of the world [Iran], the decision-making culture is more last-minute and it is difficult for us to plan a year in advance. “I am sure we will meet before long. It would be an exciting occasion for Iranian fans.” "

Players to watch this Asian WCQ round as per FIFA:
"Player to watch
Young Sardar Azmoun may be Iran's top-scorer in this qualifying campaign with eight goals. However, the experience of Reza Ghoochannejhad can't be understated considering his major contribution in firing Team Melli to Brazil 2014. Despite starting on the bench, the 29-year-old forward showed a glimpse of his genius by coming on and breaking the deadlock against Qatar with an injury-time strike, which set them on the road to a 2-0 win. After returning to Dutch club Heerenveen last June, he has showed improved form, scoring over a dozen goals. He became the first Iranian to score a hat-trick in a top-flight European league when he completed a treble in a 4–3 loss against PSV Eindhoven in January."
