This is a mentally clueless team. They play fantastic football in the final third, that is all they have... mainly because of technical players like Taremi, Amiri, Mosalman and Rafei.

Where are the tactics ? Where is the discipline?

Let me use TM as an example, twice against Uzb and Korea we scored early goals...and we were disciplined and had a plan, to the point where the opponent couldn't even muster a shot on goal.

Iranian clubs will never win anything, our media moans about billion dollar Qatari foreigners, and our coaches are amateurish at best. Welcome to professional football, who cares that we have a 100% Iranian team.... why can't we attract one or two decent foreigners?

Just keep that mentality as far away from TM as possible.

This is the problem with a classic 4-4-2, formation, or a 4-1-3-2 that Branko has always used with TM and now with PP.
It can't handle the fast attacking play of a 4-3-3, hence why the defense is so shit.
Pretty football --Where does that get us though?
I'd rather get disciplined boring football with CQ and get results.

I agree and disagree. With the NT playing disciplined boring football can be tolerated and rewarding but not with a club football, watching boring tactics and 1-0's become extremely hard to watch and tedious.

This is coming from a Man United fan that had to endure that during the LVG era.
