Some of PP players still aren't experienced enough to play vs relatively strong ACL teams (for Asia standards)... Players like Rabikhah and Moharami should only start in less important PGPL games but I guess Branko didn't had any other choice since Ramin didn't make the trip.

No Branko said he doesn't want Ramin at all.

Baba I don't understand why can't he forgive Rezaian ?

He is a very good player and CQ will use him vs. Qatar

Ramin is the league's best RB and a great crosser and I was against benching him, when he returned back, but nothing is above the team.
He has had some issues in Perspolis: From his transfer to Turkey to throwing a hissy fit at the derby (when being subbed, although the sub was questionable) to the recent incident.

Foreign coaches are brought to install discipline and to resist "Bazikon salari". Be it Rezaeian or another player.
It might haunt us in the remainder of the season, but it will help us in the long-term. If Branko forgives him, he would be benched, since he missed few weeks of training.

He is at least better than our vatani coaches but he is very stubborn in team selection for example not playing Rezaian or insisting on Rabihkhah while he is total garbage. His offensive football tactics are good and entertaining but he is clueless in defense and his subs are not usually very effective. Our own vatani coaches have nothing better than usual closing the gaps and hoping for counter attacks and long balls! It is so out dated and boring, it may give result in PGPL sometimes but not effective against stronger clubs because it only relies on chances and mistakes by opponent defenders in covering your forward.
(having technical players in offensive line) This is what we need to score and no other team has that combination in PGPL, we need a solid defense line to support this, then you get the best team ever. Unfortunately, our players are not professional but sensational and mentally weak (this is our problem since late 90s), if Iranian teams want to progress we need to work on mental prowess of our players.
Team had tactics but absence of Rezaian made our RB ineffective because Moharami was defending all the times instead of creating opportunities. He is young for this level of international football so I don't blame him. You are right about the discipline. Our defense line was totally out of sync today and didn't help our goal keeper. Same mental weakness that you mentioned. caused our players to be careless in passing in second half while one on one our team is stronger than Al Rayyan on the paper and showed it during the match as well specially in first half. Amiri and Taremi lost 4 east sitters today. If they had scored half of them the match was 3-3 at least.
You can not compare Team Melli with Persepolis in defense line. We only have two NT defenders in Seyed Jalal who is 35 now and Rezaian who was absent today. The rest are either veteran Mahini who was playing in CB instead of his usual place in LB/RB and Rabihkhah who is totally garbage and the reason Persepolis conceded many goals from half season onward. Sadegh Moharami was also pretty occupied in RB position and couldn't show his brilliant escapes to help the offensive line.

You need to consider that Branko is not a defensive minded coach; he believes in offensive tactics and has always had a bad record on defense even during the time he was our NT coach. If you have seen Persepolis defending well in last season and in first half of this season is because we didn't use Ansari in CB all the times and he was always covering our LB position (last season), we didn't have Rabihkhah giving wrong back passes and not coming back to cover his area. We had Maric in our CB last season who was a very good CB.

CQ has Milad Mohamadi in LB who defends well and runs like a horse helping our LW. We have Ghafouri and Rezaian in RB, Seyed Jalal and Montazeri covering the CB area pretty well and our DMF Ando/Ebrahimi/Kamal/Ezatollahi covering the area in front of the defense line pretty well. Fergusen called CQ, king of defense, for a reason. It is cruel to compare Branko and CQ in defense line. CQ wins this hands down.

Another big impact that Persepolis is experiencing in second half season is that our great prospect Ahmad Nourollahi left the team, he was always completing Kamyabinia in DMF when he was in the pitch or when he came up as sub for Kamal. Kamal got tired sweeping the ball alone after Nourollahi left the team. There is a lot of pressure on Kamal now and I just hope he won't get injured because we don't have a reliable sub for him. We saw how effective a solid DMF can be during the match with SS Tehran and Sepahan when Kamal was absent.
We had decent foreign players but they leave when we don't pay them. Michael Umania and Maric were both good CBs and they left Persepolis because they were not paid. Same story is happening in other teams. Sport ministry and IRIB are not injecting the teams with financial support as they have to pay for TV rights and being the owner of some clubs. Our money is being transferred to Lebanon and Syria to help Hezbollah and Assad regime. Our football is totally dried. You can see major clubs are begging the fans to pay the bills for them or defaulting on contracts left and right while club managers who have been installed by Sport Ministry got away with money they have stolen from these clubs. Mr Turkashvand in Persepolis is one example of corrupt officials in the club. Fatollahzadeh, Rouyanian, Ajorlo, ... were IRGC commanders who turned to CEO in our football directly installed by Sepah (IRGC).
Definitely, we can not just blame other nations or clubs for having the money to pay for the foreign players. It is our wasteful financial management and corruption that are holding back our football not other nations. We should search about the problems in our own football instead of yelling "Look at our neighbors they have money and hire good foreign players". What have we done for our football to expect good results?! Miracle never happens. Only good team management, eligible financial managers, transparent financial plans, and progress in youth level can help us. We should force IRIB to pay for the TV rights. That is a big source of income for our clubs that is being denied. Sport Ministry and IRGC (paramilitary) should stay away from clubs and facilitate the privatization of big clubs like Tractor Sazi, Esteghalal, and Persepolis. With private investment comes the eligible management and that will cut the hands of corrupted few who were looking for easy money making by stealing the money injected by government to our football.
I dont understand why people in this forum keep praising perspolis' offensive play. They are one of the least clinical teams with very poor composure and finishing near the goal. To say that no team has their attacking players is not true, in fact, Esteghlal has scored more goals than they have.

He had some woeful injuries that kept him out long term (few years) and he missed a year because of sarbazi suspension.

He looks relatively healthy now, and has had a good second half of the season with Esteghlal Khuzestan. Afshin, Beitsaed and Nong are the main reason they've had a much better second half of the season (and of course their disciplined defending).

Rezaeian is the defintion of por roo and loos, I don't want to see him ever touch the Persepolis shirt, a player with his attitude and arrogance does not deserve to play in a club the size of Persepolis.

But you need to beat Saudi Arabia to get more allocations, not China,Japan and Australia
