We should be careful using the word "dismissed" as if they were fired.

Dismissed could mean "you are fired", or it could mean "hey, I know you have not been paid in 1 year, so if you want to leave and pursue other fruitful opportunities, I won't hold it against you and you have my blessing"

^ I really doubt CQ would fire DG, especially in such an abrupt manner. He has been CQ's most loyal and trusted confidante not just for the Iran NT, but way back, includng the 90s, and the 2010 WC. there hasn't been any explanation by any sides about Gasper (or other assistants), but I think this may make more sense than other stuff being thrown around.
I just wonder why no one from TM camp nor IFF has come out to shed light on it. Given trumps stupid orders, I would probably not want to come to Iran either, but I suppose he could have joined the team in Qatar.
