Does Iran have the best football culture in Asia?

It seems like nowhere else in Asia has as much passion for football as Iran does. Yes, the J-League and Chinese Super League make more money, but I would say Iran has a better footballing culture per capita.

That is pretty much undisputed. As you said, no other Asian country shows as much passion for football as Iranians do.

We can forget about West Asia. In East Asia, I'd say Koreans, Japanese, Chinese and Thailandese have some passion for it too, but far from Iran's level.

Iran's passion is right there at the top with Latin Americans / South Europeans.

      Culture denotes class etc.

No. As you make this thread, a Eses Khuzestan fans threw stone at Linesman.

      Stupidity and violence.

      Passion: yes.

There's a huge celebration in Tehran every time Iran just qualifies for the World Cup, that's pretty amazing. But I would also put the Arab countries ahead of East Asia in terms of passion.

My school had several people from Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Palestine (Egypt too, but it's African) that were obsessed with football.

              Yeah ''several''...

Their countries as a whole have no football culture though.

Except for EGyptians, they dont' really care about their domestic game though. From my experience they all either love EPL, or Barca or RM.

You're right, I have noticed that none of them support their local league or national team, they follow European football (except for the Egyptians, they hosted an event for the African Cup of Nations Final, it was a great atmosphere).

As pointed out, I believe we have the most football passion in Asia for sure. Football culture I'm not sure what you mean. But we have many unfortunate incidences from our "fans" in stadiums that makes me question our football "culture".

Saudis are actually really passionate too (not as much as us of course) but if you look at their stadiums during games, they're always lively. They're also pretty support of their domestic league.

Egyptians are very passionate about their national team. That's why I want us to meet them in the WC
                        They will probably qualify too.

Iran has support, because we have history in the sport. That's how sports work all across the world. The bigger the history in that sport the more support there is.

Weightlifting is also big in Iran and also we have a big history of weightlifting as well.

I'm hoping for a group like Iran, Egypt, Mexico, Serbia. I think we have a chance of qualifying from this group. Even better would be Iran, Tunisia, Honduras, USA.

None of these mentioned teams will be in pot 1, so it'd be impossible.
A group like Iran, France, Turkey/Greece and Egypt would be my dream group.
But first let us beat Uzbekistan
