Again, as GolfePersique mentioned, this skepticism was the SAME issue that many had with Saman before i.e. Swedish league not good etc. Now we see what a high quality player he is.
Yup, I was one of those who had no faith in Saman and swedish iranian in general, sometimes people (in this case me) have to accept that they were wrong.
Having Arzani on our roster can't be bad. Some players turn out to be good (Saman) some turn out to be bad (Omid Nazari, Davari..) Have we lost anything when we added Nazari and Davari? No

Agree, and to be fair not many big talents are coming out of Sweden these days, so your doubts were probably justified.

Gucci is another one, although after his good season in Belgium he was more or less proven, although he's had ups and downs in his club seasons, we owe so much to him for getting us to the 2014 world cup, and I can't remember him ever having a bad game for team melli!

The difference is, this guy wants to choose for Australia. Sorry but if you want that, screw you then. Ghoddos never said he want to represent Sweden. Thats the difference. And still arzani leaning to Australia, people here are begging for him. We are iranians, a prideful people, we never need to beg someone to play for us.

But Ghoddos played for Sweden before deciding to play for us. So he did originally want to play for Sweden.

Yeah, because Iran did not approached him, so he had no choice. Arzani's case is different, he mentioned that he want to choose Australia over Iran. In that case let him choose them, especially because he wil regret it.

Good. It'll keep him hungry. He's just a kid.
Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

Of course he had a choice. He could have not said yes to them.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

So what? Did Iran approach him? It were just friendlies... If you are looking for a job and your favourite company doesnt offer you a contract but another company gives you a chance, you will choose the latter because thats rational.

Hunger comes from internal will and determination, not from starvation and injustice ...

Its good his wage is that low. Look at england, so many over rated players all because as soon as they play one season after breaking through the hype meter goes off the charts, they start making outrageous money, and never feel the need to push themselves and develop. If anything, low wages in Iran will certainly push him to move to europe, might as well have low wages but be in europe. One of the reasons we had so few players in europe over the years was bc our domestic league was playing average players who could have really improved in europe so much fucking money !

No one is breaking Ali Daei's record.

So weird I had a dream about FC Bayern Munich signing Younes Delfi announcing it on their website.
I have literally only seen him once play and also know he has been on the scoring sheet vs Germany
I cant explain why I had this dream..so random
