Club Brugge has strengthened its position as a leader. It won 1-2 at Charleroi, which now follows 4 points. Limbombe made the winning goal after Rezeai wiped Wesley's opening goal.

In a particularly atmospheric Stade Du Pays, Charleroi and Club Brugge could be in a mutual duel who would play eight as leader. Club Brugge was soon dangerous. Limbombe finished off the line and scored the ball for Cools on Penneteau. Charleroi replied by a cracking shot from Rezeai, but the opportunity was right for the visitors. Dennis mirrored Nurio and pulled out. Penneteau was unable to pin the ball but he was supported by the defense.

Club Brugge checked the match and doted occasionally. Wesley took a shot from the corner kick. A moment later Dennis was allowed to counter. He played his man and also got the ball past Penneteau, but Nurio spent the line rescue. Charleroi then succeeded in playing a bit further from his own goal. Rezeai was allowed to enter. He saw his curled shot go a thick meter.

Ten minutes before rest, Vanaken got too much space. He stepped on the pole. On the other side, Nurio controlled a falling ball and then stamped some pretty against the crossbar. Vanaken had to pick up another moment later. This time his shot went high over goal. It was the last gunfire of the first period, which ended in 0-0 after many goals. Charleroi was especially pleased with this resting position.

The second period began to be somewhat calmer. Charleroi was better in the match than before the break. Pollet and Lukebakio posed a threat, but their attempts missed the necessary vengeance. Real odds were not there in the first quarter, partly because both teams had to be knocked to every morbid ground.

Twenty minutes before signing up, Club Brugge was allowed to counter. Cools sent a delicious pass to Vanaken, who mirrored his man and finished the ball. Vormer seemed to be able to get out, but Wesley went to the ball. He played his man and placed the ball over the corner. Ten minutes later the signs were right again. The fallen Tainmont delivered a measured finish. On the second pole the free-standing Rezeai entered alone.

Charleroi refuted confidence from the equalizer and pushed through. Benavente seemed to score, but Horvath took out with a phenomenal parade. One minute later, Baby was allowed to get out, but he also saw Horvath delivering good rescue. On the other side, Limbombe hit. He mirrored his man and shot hard into the farthest corner, 1-2. Diaby had another good chance, but stumbled on Penneteau.

They're playing in 30 minutes away at St-Truiden, Reza's first team in the Belgian league.

It won't be an easy game. Hope Kaveh can score in this game.

CQ always rewards risk (i.e. move to good European league to fight for a place in TM)

There wasn't much to see from him today. He was a bit sacrificed, lots of runs to give more space to the other offensive players as St-Truiden is always very well organised defensively and you could see that the association with Mamadou Fall didn't really work well.

I had talked few times with a Belgian journalist who cover Charleroi and they are very happy with Kaveh's performance. He was wondering(before Kaveh's invitation) why Kaveh is not yet invited to the national team. He also asked me about why there aren't so many Iranian players in Europe and top leagues. He was telling me Kaveh was one of the good off season signing of Belgian League.
Good for Kaveh. He deserves it, works really hard, amazing stamina for Iranian forward standard and the most important a very good work ethic.

He always plays with a lot of hustle and smarts. He never stops running and always positions himself well to score. He can serve as a winger in CQ's team.
