Why are we assuming all the strikers won't be taken?

Last WC we were complaining about not enough strikers, this WC we are saying that certain strikers should be left out.

well thats the thing, CQ isnt also a huge fan of offensive footballers either and we simply have too many attacking options even if we include some of these CFs as optional wingers and drop-back strikers...!
i would guess its between Khaveh and Reza, which will be cut..!!??
currently it seems that Reza is the most likely name on the chopping block..? unless he brings it on strong and score a few crucial goals in the May friendlies .... ..!

Belgian site, Walfoot.be names Kaveh in their 'Team of the Week':

"This is our team of the week

Some executives of Play-Offs 1 have raised their level this weekend. It was not easy to decide for certain positions.

              Attackers:
Back in great shape, Kaveh Rezaei scored a nice goal for the Carolos, but it is especially important. The same can be said for Teodorczyk, who is in the match despite the loss of his brother."

              https://www.walfoot.be/fra/news/lis/...?ref=headnews0

              Recent interview with Kaveh:

"Rezaei: "The World Cup, I think about it every day"

Back in shape at the best time, Kaveh Rezaei is hungry at the end of PO1.

It is rare to see him speak after the matches. The language barrier and a certain shyness are for many. But Friday night, as he came out of his doping control (like Baby and Penneteau), Kaveh Rezaei, all smiles after his 15th goal of the season, agreed to say a few words (in English) about his evening performance, which has been a great success in Charleroi.

              Kaveh, this victory was paramount.
"Yes, we really wanted to win this game, we even had to hope for something else this season, which is very important for the team."

You seem to find your best form with these two goals in two games. But before that, you had started twice on the bench.
"It was a coach's choice that I respect, I'm professional and I try to do the best for the team, there's competition, but no matter who plays, the team comes first."

Even if you have to show up for the World Cup.
"Yes, I do not hide the fact that the World Cup, I think about it every day, it's a big date for which I want to be ready."

              You feel fulfilled in Charleroi.
"I'm very happy, it's a big family and everyone gets along very well, it's important to progress day after day."

How do you see the end of PO1 , with this prospect of European qualification?
"The last three games will be complicated, like the top seven, because there are only big teams, we will play another three finals and I think we can reach our goal.""

"The rebirth of Kaveh Rezaei in Charleroi

After experiencing a dip, the Iranian returns to form when approaching the home stretch.

Less prolific at the end of the classic phase and at the beginning of Playoffs 1, Kaveh Rezaei found the net in the last two meetings. Happy to have allowed his team to revive, he evokes with us, and through the translator of shock named Mehdi Bayat, the end of the season with his club and, he hopes, with his national selection in Russia

Rezaei knows his country capable of achieving a beautiful World Cup

At Sporting, Kaveh Rezaei is undoubtedly the player who has the most chances to play in the World Cup. The Iranian was indeed part of the last selections and the season that he is carrying out should open to him the doors of Russia. Scorer in the last two meetings, he has regained form at the best of times, which should reinforce his Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz in the idea of calling on his services next June: " But there is nothing acquired because in this sector, there is a big competition and all the attackers also play in their clubs and are in success. There are no guarantees ", Warns Rezaei. But when he speaks to the future, the Carolo systematically evokes the World, which he does not seem to imagine missing.

As for the chances of Iran to come out of a fairly high pool, made up of the reigning Portuguese European champion, Spain and Morocco, Rezaei wants to be optimistic: " If Iran wins its first match (Ed) June 15 against Morocco), the chances of qualifying will be very high. Our group (also with Portugal and Spain) is up but it's the best way to talk about Iranian football. The goal will be to show all the talent in this often underrated team. I will also be proud to be Charleroi's ambassador to Russia and I hope that Cristian (Benavente, with Peru) will also be because this World Cup makes us both dream . "

And to mention his compatriot Ali Gholizadeh, FC Saipa international winger, quoted at Sporting de Charleroi: " He is currently one of the best players in the Iranian league, which, however, is full of talent. For a reason of marketing, it is very little visible but the Mondial can serve as showcase. And if Ali came to Charleroi, I would be happy to facilitate his integration so that he does not know the language difficulties that I had when I started here. In any case, I have no intention of leaving this summer. "

                "Put another 5 goals"

The ranking of Jupiler Pro League scorers is dominated by a trio of players playing the Playoffs 2: Knight (Kortrijk, 21 goals), Harbaoui (Zulte Waregem, 19) and Kiese Thelin (Waasland / Beveren, 19).

It is therefore necessary to go down to the podium to find Diaby (Brugge FC) and Rezaei (SC Charleroi), with 15 goals. If the official title of top scorer should not return to any of them, the idea of being the best artificer among the Top 6 teams can still have something rewarding: " Of course, I'm always happy to to score is important for an attacker. And I would be honored to finish at this symbolic position. But I will be happier if the collective goal is achieved. And between a European place and an individual scorer distinction, my choice is quickly, it is Europe that premium! "

Still, the Iranian has set a goal well. If he had decided not to disclose it early in the season, he now admits his ambition: " Compared to what I had set, I still have five goals to score. "

Three games from the end of the Playoffs 1, the task appears difficult but it is certain that if it were to be accomplished, the chances of Sporting to achieve its objectives would be increased tenfold!

The heavy defeat in Bruges has transcended the Carolos according to Rezaei

Between February 18 and April 13, Rezaei played five games without scoring or assisting, something that had never happened this season. The player then scored against Genk, in the third day of the PO1, before participating in the collective bankruptcy in Bruges, which had cost him a return on the bench against Ghent and Anderlecht. But the Iranian striker at the Mauves, reiterated that in Ghent by offering victory to his family last Friday (0-1). " I'm very happy to score again and help the team get the points they need. Hollow periods, we know in all clubs and when the ball does not turn over for the team, it turns for nobody. But things are going well, the guys are back on the field and the most important thing is that today, the team has recovered hope. We must now keep the same state of mind to win each of the three finals we have left . And to estimate that finally, the next opponent of the Zebras may be paradoxically the one who revived them a few weeks ago: " The 6-0 in Bruges was beneficial to the team because everyone questioned themselves. It is not at all the same Charleroi since this electroshock. I only remember the positive of this defeat and the impact it had on the group . "

Today in any case, Rezaei ensures feel at best, while it was not won in advance when he arrived last summer: " When I started in Charleroi, it was very difficult to understand, analyze what the coach was waiting for me. Then I felt that the puzzle was positioned and that, above all, I found my place. I also had the pressure from Iran, where I did not understand my choice and was aware of the risk. But I am now free of this weight. The Iranians understood me, I think. I got to know European culture, to rediscover limits, to set goals, and to progress tactically and physically. I want to continue on this path and climb the ladder in my career! ""

                Charleroi's coach comments on Kaveh:

"Rezaei will score at the World Cup"

Asked about his attacker, Mazzù was laudatory.

"He goes to the World Cup, is the top scorer of Charleroi and one of the guys who run the most kilometers on a game. When I put him on the bench, he has extraordinary respect. That's what allowed him to be back so quickly in the team, to have already scored. Attitude is the most important thing. He has the one that every coach wants from a player. At the World Cup, not only will he play but he will score! Said Mazzù about Rezaei."

What Rezaei has done his first season is mightly impressive. I know maybe a stretch, but what he has done might be as impressive as what Jahanbakhsh has done this year. No one expected Sporting C. to be in top 5 and there it is and he is leading the charge in his first year abroad ...

And the Belgian league is better than Eredivisie.

What Kaveh is doing is pretty impressive. He was good at SS and ZobAhan but I never thought he would be THIS good.
So what that tells me is that IPL is filled with talents. If they're willing and capable of making a move, they will have similar successes like Kaveh.

Gholizadeh, Torabi should be next in line

                          Best case scenario:

                          Jahanbakhsh---> Napoli

Rezaei----> Ligue 1 team (apparently he has interest)

Gholizadeh and Noorafkan----> Replace Rezaei at Charleroi

Torabi----> Replaces ARJ at AZ Alkmaar

Charleroi is still playing with the same system as the beginning of the season. No midfield, press and hope one of the forwards takes advantage of an opponent mistake. They're really bad.

yeah, honestly the only quality players are a few defenders, the keeper, and rezaei + benavente combo which has basically carried the entire team.

charleroi would be bottom table without those two.
