We have to wait and see which countries we have 2 play in WC and see which cities we play our matches in. It would be a dream for me if Iran had training camp in Sweden because the climate in Sweden is quite similar to Russia. We should start playing training matches against a easy African teams then easy European teams and a easy South American teams and then upgrade to harder teams from these continents.

It's simple. We miss WAY TOO MANY easy chances at goal.

I'd gather half will be real friendliest vs avg. to slightly better than avg. countries who's playing styles best resemble our WC group opponents ..! The other half is gonna be vs bunch of clubs or semi pro sides @ our preparation camp sites in Africa and Europe somewhere. .!?
If there is one aspect of coaching that CQ is arguably the best in the world @, That would be Planning & proper Preprations...! If our lousy federation can grant him most of his demanded prep requests then we stand a very good chance of getting past our groups stage & beyond in Russia.

ideal friendlies for Iran (without considering our three World Cup Group opponents right now)
and also based on possible qualification of the teams and the actual FIFA Ranking, the Group headers will be:
Russia - Brazil - Argentina - Germany - Chile - Colombia - France - Belgium
Europe before group heads: 13 + Russia = 14)
European teams after above group heads = 14-4 = 10 teams.
Conmebol/Oceanian teams after group heads: 4,5+0,5 = 5 - Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia (all group headers) = 1Team = this will be 80% Uruguay, 20% Ecuador)
CAFrican = 5 Teams (no group headers)
Asia 4,5 and Concacaf 3,5 = 8 Teams. We will be 90% in the same pot in the world cup (as we are exactly 8 Teams) and so we do not face Mexico, USA, Costa Rica or (Panama) or other asian team = so no need for friendlies against these continental teams, despite Mexico is a very good side and good for a friendly if we meet south american teams.
So the Pots will look like this:
Group headers pot: Russia - Brazil - Argentina - Germany - Chile - Colombia - France - Belgium
Pot 2: (8 best FIFA ranked European teams out of the remaining 10 European qualifiers.
Pot 3: (Mixed Pot with 5 African team out of these: DR Congo/Tunisia ; Nigeria ; Ivory Coast ; Burkina Faso/South Africa/Senegal ; Egypt) + 2 lowest European qualifiers + Uruguay = 8 teams
Pot 4: Iran + 3 Asian countries + Mexico, Costa Rica, USA, intercontinental winner AFC/CONCACAF
Note:
> every group will have a maximum of 2 European teams. This means Russia, Germany, France, Belgium will get an European team out of Pot 2, but no European from pot 3, instead they will get Uruguay/Ecuador or an African team.
> Uruguay/Ecuador will definitely be in an European group and avoid brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia.
> Iran will get minimum one european Team of Pot 2 and maximum 2 European teams (+ eventually Uruguay in an possible group of death)
> Iran won't face Mexico, USA, Costa Rica based on previous POT-experience. Mexico in 2006 was an group header.
> The chance facing an African team is higher as the two European teams from Mixed group or Uruguay.

FIFA ranking for Pot is only for POT 1 = GROUP HEADERS and for european teams, which will be more teams as 8 teams for one single pot, so the lowest ranked team will be in another Pot (3) in an mixed pot..World Cup 2006, Frankfurt, Iran vs. Portugal, Iranian Frontpage of GOAL Sportspaper

Some other facts about arranging ideal friendlies.
Iran will play one group header.
The group headers will be 95%
Russia - Brazil - Argentina - Germany - Chile - Colombia - France - Belgium
as i said this before. This teams will continue their victory, and stay in FIFA Ranking toP 7 beside Russia.
So 50% we will face a European team like Germany, France, Belgium and Russia.
--> So our ideal friendly for this teams is Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy (similar to Germany, Belgium, France) and a strong Poland and Ukraine (similar to Russia/Germany).
another 50% is that we face Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, (Uruguay in lower pot)
--> So ideal friendly for these teams are Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, Portugal and (Brazil before the draw) in Azadi, would be great.
100% we will face a European side from European Pot = Pot B, which can also be Portugal, Spain, Poland, Serbia, Croatia, Italy and some other which we have to wait for.
Also the chance to face a african side is higher. So i see friendlies vs. DR Congo, Nigeria, South Africa, and some other before mentioned as ideal.
And to make something clear:
IF Saudi Arabia and Turkey qualifies for the world cup, this will bring more oportunities for friendlies, as other nations would like to play us after the draw, as we are neighbor countries with "similar football style" in their eyes. So this can be an indirect advantage.World Cup 2006, Frankfurt, Iran vs. Portugal, Iranian Frontpage of GOAL Sportspaper
