4, Iran vs Brazil, (1972).

Adesorian Note: In 1972 Brazil sent their youth/B team to Olympics. Back then senior teams were playing at Olympics. But Brazil feeling that they were so good didn't send their top tier players. However Iran won that game 1:0 and it was significant, given the fact that two years prior in 1970, Brazil became Record (3 times) World Champion and Iran was nobody comparatively.

It's my personal top 3, since I started following Team Melli. I do not remember anything about the Australia and USA game because I was too young.

Iran - Iraq ( AC 2015) was very close to being the best TM game if we did eventually overcome the 11-men Iraqi team.

It was 3-3, and 7-6 on penalties.
If only we had won that penalty shootout, I'm sure a lot of you guys would be mentioning this game as your all time favourite.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the 2006 Iran vs. Costa Rica match. In that match three months before the World Cup, Branko's TM was at its absolute peak, scoring three goals on a strong Costa Rican side and leading the game 3-0 after only 30 minutes. It was one of the best games featuring both Ali Karimi and Ali Daei. Unfortunately, Karimi got injured shortly after. The rest is history.
