From what I heard in the English sources is that the Chinese team will not actually compete in Germany's 4th division, but rather play a friendly against each team from that division (each team getting paid 15,000 euros)

So they are going to play them all but won't get promoted or count as a club. Well that is still interesting, they want to give their players foreign experience at an early age.

It's people with this kind of attitude that lead us to nothing. Maybe it hasn't happened yet, but China is only making positive contributions to their football - eventually they will reap the benefits.

Instead of cynical remarks, we should be trying to accomplish similar things. We are beating them now, but in 25 years things might be very different. We won't always have a CQ to rally our football together.

We laugh at China/Qatar for investing money in youth - I don't get it. Likely out of jealousy, but we don't have to be jealous because we can do the same thing which will eventually make us 100x better than them.

He is known for doing that, so don't take it serious. It was only a joke.

Why would I be jealous of a country that throws with billions and still sucks at football? The fact that they invest heavily but still don't progress is what makes it hilarious to be cynical about it - just like Qatar.

I don't think we need to do the same as them since passion for the game and talent always wins regardless of world class facilities, just look at South America who are even poorer than us but still produce top players every time with strong NT's.

Passion and talent do not always win - Look at Germany. Technically they are not the most skilled team in the world, but after a couple of underwhelming WC's, they set a plan for the future, starting with youth (like China is trying to do).

Suddenly a generation of Ozil, Reus, Gotze, Muller, Kroos, etc..... emerge and they win the world cup.

I am not saying that China will suddenly produce Ozils, but at least they are doing the right things. If we planned for our youth like that, we would have a great team in 15 years (and wouldn't have to worry about wtf we are going to do when CQ leaves).

Why does Reza Shekari have to gas out after 70 mins? Why did our U23 team have to give up a 3-1 lead to South Korea in the final 10 minutes of the game and lose 4-3? Why did our Olympic team have to be disqualified like that against Iraq?

Its because our football doesn't care about youth. We can laugh at China all we want, but if we were smart we would try to follow many of the steps they are taking in football. Maybe it won't pay off for them, but it doesn't mean that the ideas they have are bad.

^ those are multiple issues.
disqualification is PURELY management deficiencies and has NOTHING to do wth football, passion, talent, infrastruture, ...

physical fitness is something that needs to be worked on. no matter who you are or if you have talent or passion or not. in fact in absence of those, you better be physically fitter than your opponent. But this is a art of general set up of football management.

As for what China is doing, I think this may move the needle a bit in their favor in coming years. But I seriously doubt they'd be an Asian powerhouse. Because like kiarash said there are major factors with far greater impact, and minor factors, who have lesser impact on a football. Until China starts producing RAW TALENT and shows this fervent love for the game, I doubt they'd be able to climb from the 2nd tier asian nation. No matter how much money they pour into the game.

at the same time, if you provide those minor factors to nations that HAVE the raw talent, then you'd see a HUGE JUMP in their football.
Imagine if Iran had that kind of resources, attractive market for foreign investrors, ... . We'd progress by leaps and bounds.

Every year CQ is imploring for a Trainings Camp, as it will have huge effect on senior play rs.
Bow imagine the effect on young players, if they spend one year at such a camp.
