There are more political prisoners & executions in Iran, Shitty Arabia, Iraq etc per year than the past 50 years in Israel. They at least have a system in place and Israelis have flourished. Iranians have done far worst to the Kurds & Baluchis than Israel has done to the Palestinians.
I don't think many of the newer generation Iranians know that Iran & Israel had very close relationship during the Shah's time. Even during the war Iraq-Iran war, Israel was providing weapons and spare parts to the IRIAF (granted at higher prices). I'm even willing to go as far as to say if Israel hadn't bombed Osirak, Saddam might have used low yield nuclear weapons on Iran. IRIAF bombed Osirak, but Iran did not have the munitions necessary to break through the main reactor dome as I believe IRIAF only had mk 82 general purpose which were 500lbs, and it did not break through the dome. IRIAF transferred the data/information to IDF and in return IDF knocked Osirak out completely using F-16s and heavier bombs.

Anywho, Iran should focus on it's own issues.

Masoud and Ehsan could still go to Israel, and not get their passports stamped. I heard that Iranians can do this if they like as some Iranian/Persian Jews do travel to Israel and would not like to engage in any future conflict. Besides, I doubt any streams would be shown of Israel in Iran, and the federation could always ignore this.

Yes, and then their names would appear on UEFA.com in the lineup, they won't be able to ever come back to Iran, their families (and themselves) will be threatened and publicly insulted.
        Great idea.
        No need for this.

After all these years, Israeli officials know exactly why Iranian sportsmen cannot compete against Israeli athletes/team and what they will risk if they actually do not respect that rule. I even read once an article in an Israeli website about this, so they are aware of the whole story.

The only reason they are making all of that noise is for their own interest, for exemple officials of this club want to make some advertisement around their name. It is simply related to personal interest, many Israeli clubs are related with ultras such are far right movements therefore they will oftenly make this kind of statements whenever they will face an Iranian player.

The main reason Israelis get bent out of shape every time this happens has to do with the BDS movement which seeks to boycott Israeli products made in the occupied territories. The boycott movement is one of the main factors that finally helped to eliminate the Apartheid South African regime. Now Israelis are worried that if the BDS movement has even a small amount of success, it will be followed by a wider boycott. Many musicians already are refusing to perform in Israel just like many refused to go to South Africa.

I don't blame the Israelis for getting worked up because of how they are looking at this. On the other hand, I believe all athletes have the right to make these decisions even if their government was not an issue. Of course, if you are a professional athlete then the club will have a say as well, but I am sure the Greek club knew this condition before they signed them up.

I also don't understand this new-found love for Israel. It is a brutal occupying force that daily abuses the natives of the land they occupied. Remember the enemy of your enemy is not necessarily your friend. I do not care about Palestinians more or less than I care about other people in general. But fair is fair. They have been driven out of the homeland and now have to low-paid workers on their own land. As MLK said "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere".

The problem Israel as with Iran is not a religious problem, it is not a human rights problem. It is purely a geopolitical competition problem that goes back even to Shah's time.

Back to the thread topic, Masood and Ehsan should do what is right for them, which in this case is not making the trip, though I wish they could and would kick butt.

It's this negative & typical muslim rhetoric that's keeping us from having more Iranians playing in Europe. If you're playing in Europe, you have to abide by European standards.

"Panionios traveled to Israel without Massoud and Hatzisafi

Michalis Grigoriou expressed his confidence in the players of Panionios for the match against Maccabi (27/7, 19.30) despite the fact that he traveled without the Iranians Massoud and Hatzisafi.

With two important absences, Panionios will fight against Maccabi Tel Aviv. The mission of the Blue Flag is in Israel where on Thursday it will give its first match for the third qualifying round of the Europa League.

In this, they are not as expected as Masud and Hadjisafi. This is because the passports of every Iranian citizen indicate that the "Palestinian territories" are forbidden. This is precisely the region, not Israel, since it is not recognized by the Middle East government as a state. Since the 1979 revolution, Iranians who travel to Israel have no right to return to Iran.

On the contrary, the young midfielder Spyros Glynos is on the mission. The players who chose to include the coach of Panionios Michalis Grigoriou: Lambrou, Masoura, Oikonomou, Papageorgiou, Piniotis, Saramantas, Savvidis, Stavropoulos, Tapokos, Gesil, Glynos, Voukelatos, Knotik, Vlachos, Corbu, Gioatta.

The two absences do not concern Michalis Grigoriou who showed faith in his team's capabilities. "We came after two very interesting games with Gorica and two victories that were absolutely fair: In the game we want to do is to create opportunities and look in the eyes of Maccabi, we know it is a more experienced team but I have confidence in the team "For many of the guys in the group, it's the first time they are fighting in this event, but all of us have come here to give our best," said Panionios coach at the press conference.

If he wants to change his tactic: "We do not have a specific tactic that we are working on from the first day of preparation until today and by tomorrow we will have finished our thoughts on this game and how we will get the positive result ".

For the advantages and disadvantages of Maccabi: "I know that Mr. Craig is trying to follow his classical Dutch school 4-3-3. We are prepared to tackle a very good attack team that has players who can make a difference with a We know they will push on every ball and we are prepared for this we will try to keep our opponents away from our region. "

The team leader, Panayiotis Corbos, said: "I understand you may not know a lot about us, but for 2.5 years, the players who make up their roster are just as important. We have always learned to think about This victory is the way we are used to. "Our coach has asked us to be focused, we respect Maccabi, but we are not afraid of it.""

Personally I agree with you to some extent. First of what Israel is doing in Palestine and occupying it is disgusting and wrong, however why do we (Iranians) love Palestine so much? They are just another Sunni Arab country and once (if) they become a fully recognized nation they will proceed to screwing us in every facet just like their other arab buddies. We (Iranians) are much much similar culturally with Israel and Israelis and share much more in common than arab countries.

Lol and what about israel harming us much harder with their long hand in the us and ue?
And about Iran caring about palestinian, it shouldnt be view israelis vs arabs, chinese vs australia or whatever but human vs human. What israelis are doing to pals are as disgusting as what nazis did to jews. And the more shocking is that guys like Netanyahu that had a reserved seat in concentration camps are now turning to be a criminal.

The pb is not Iran suppprting pals but how powerful countries does nothing this conflict
