And Kaveh made the list.Originally posted by Tehranto View PostWhy can Iranians never accept good things? Hajsafi also played against Maccabi and he is invited. Shojaei might be being phased out as he is oldest player alongside Jalal Hosseini or CQ has gameplay that doesn't require Shojaei in these roundsOriginally posted by Tehranto View PostThat is St Mark's take. CQ would quit before them telling him who he cannot invite. Tactically, I can see why shojaei is not invited this round.

I think when I said that I was just trying to downplay the seriousness of this because a lot of media attention was on us and many were thinking we were going to get disqualified for government interference which would have jeopardized our World Cup. I was just trying to downplay that possibility.
Either way, I knew that Shojaei's exclusion was 100% political as he's one of our best performing legionnaires.

"The "capital" Massoud
Iran is going through a deformation period, "pulls" nerves into the stadium and this affects Panionios' racing image.
Masud's value is non-negotiable. Iranian knows a few ball, she 'speaks' in simple Greek and on his good day can create many problems in the rival defenses. In his bad thing, what is it? Definitely and non-negotiable, everyone is entitled to an ugly moon. Footballers are not robots, they will make mistakes, and in general they seem impossible to play continuously at a high level. The down and the "crooks" will come.
They are justified even if they are in a period of prolonged deformation. It happens to everyone and at some point everyone will lose their paws. So far all good. In the case of the 33-year-old, however, these are combined with unreasonable nerves, which also cost Panionios. The highlight of the Xanthi showdown, where he was replaced in the respite as he "flirts" with the red card.
The case of Massoud's players is "difficult", so that a coach can take a decision on the pitch. Even when they are negative on the court, they can change the course of a match with an action or some execution on a set ball. A striking example of the Tripoli match, where he scored the 90-minute goal after an excellent team combination.
But for the international hack the "evil" grows out of the tension he has in his game. In any case, it's an extreme character, with a lot of "cowboys" inside the court, but it now affects his image. He lacks the calm, often wants to do something more or sophisticated, so he does not get out and after the change of occupation, because he does not have a "clear mind", he leaves his place. So there is a gap.
A sample of nervousness in his game is that he has made 10 of the total of 49 fouls of Panionios in his last 3 games with AEK, Atromitos and Xanthi. Although only with the Union he pulled 90 minutes, since he was replaced in the 76th and the Sunday after the first half. At the same time in these games he only scored 4 apt fills, a small number for his quality as a footballer, and he made a total of 21 mistakes.
More generally, with Iran "blocked", "blue-capped" loses most of their creative ability, and sometimes it becomes nervous to see him lose control. Obviously the main reason for the above is the permanent absence of his representative band. Massoud loves his country very much, and that he is outside of Keiroz's calls, has cost him too much. In the World Cup, he does not want to go for the experience or get a transfer to another team. He is happy in Nea Smyrni and in the summer he will close 33. He is not, in what we say, "transcription age".
His intention is to represent his home as best he can, and because it is not for racing reasons - his shuffling began after the fight against Maccabi Tel Aviv - there are too many nerves. Both he and Panionios are automatically losers."

Apparently, Masoud received a 1 month ban for disciplinary reasons. He got into a fight with his teammate.
