^^what a joke this Assadi guy is. Absolute CLOWN. This whole article he is talking about "Adab" "adabiyat". he says he has a 5 hour tape record of CQ that is insulting iran and Iranians. I dare this guy to reveal the tape once and for all!
CQ is not just a player in politics related to football anymore, he has become a part of Iranian politics in general since you can often find a connection between football and politics in Iran. I think the government sees him as a progressive and outspoken foreign figure that people get to keep as long as he is beneficial to them also in some way, which I think he has been; he has validated and vouched for Iran and its government just by working there.
I can't recall many people, let alone coaches, who were ever allowed to operate within the boundaries that he has been operating in. Mind you, he claimed these freedoms himself and demanded things and wasn't ever shy about taking control of his own destiny in Iran.
Enjoy this luxury that we call CQ folks for as long as you can. He is probably the only widely beloved figure after the revolution who wore a tie on a regular basis in public and nobody ever had the guts to say anything about it to him...LOL
^^I agree, this has become a symbiotic relationship between IRI and CQ. CQ is self motivated, loves the challenge, and IRI needs a strong foreign who can take the team and have them represent iran at international stage. It is working out well for both.
History repeats itself, albeit in a Man called CQ who is our modern day Artemis, who was a Greek General ( female I might Add) that was an entrusted commander of the entire Persian Naval fleet!
BY the way, THis is from CQs FB page which I find amazing!
"With my friend Tite, SC Corinthians Paulista coach in 2014, the club who opened their training centre for Iran National Team during Brazil World Cup. Now, Tite is the Brazilian National Team Coach, already qualified for Russia World Cup, like Iran. This coincidence is what I call the “Corinthians Connection Effect”. Thank you so much Tite! Thank you Corinthians!"
