Everything is relative. Beita had a bad back pass as well (vs Columbus I believe?) that his team mates bailed him out on. Same mistake, different outcome - and obviously the outcome determines who is more under the microscope.

It’s not like Beitashour is any better. The goals scored by Thailand and Lebanon back then were also party his fault, he looked afraid to take on the 1 vs 1 battle. It’s one weird tendency I notice in Hajsafi, Rezaeian and Beitashour. All three are good in attack, but suck in defense.

At the end of the day, over analyzing this won't do anything either. If every player was put under such a microscope, only Ronaldo and Messi would be fit to play for their national teams. If we are looking specifically at Iran, then we can all find errors by every player this season. Looking at just those mistakes, they wouldn't be national team material. Looking at the players as a whole, then things become different.

Something tells me that Ramin will be used as a winger anyway in the WC, to come on near end of game and gas the hell out of defenders.

Agreed. Vouria is a safer and smarter player. I think Ramin is prone to some match-altering blunders.

I know we all have our own opinions about who we think is best but essentially there is a guy named Carlos Quieroz who is getting paid millions (if he's getting his salary lol) who's job it is to create the best team possible. I'm sure if Beitashour is not invited and Rezaeian is starting it probably means that it is the right choice. There are many things that as outsiders we cannot see guys. Maybe they have different work ethics, who knows.

kudos to Rezaeian for taking the belgian challenge. Making such mistakes now will make him learn and improve, contrary to some cowards players who stay hidden in IPL or in Qatar where they celebrate their goal like CR7 while loosing a title (Rezaeian itself) & where such mistakes don't cost you much.

I have never been a big fan of Ramin Rezaean, but shit like this happen even to the best players in the world. the coach was wrong in pulling him out for that. Ramin just needs to focus on his game and move on.

I think If Montazeri is healthy, he will be our RB at the WC.
